Soriano Ramos Soars At Day 1E; Last Chance To Enter Poker Dream Jeju $2M Gtd Main Event

Welcome to another thrilling day at Poker Dream Jeju 12! Today, the inaugural festival kicks off the last four flights of the Main Event featuring a brand record prize pool of ₩2.8 Billion / ~$2 Million. Cards start flying at 1pm at the world class resort Jeju Shinhwa Landing Casino.

Poker Dream Jeju Main Event Flights

As proven at yesterday’s Poker Dream Jeju Main Event Day 1E flight, today’s opening heat – Day 1H – may be the most expensive with a price tag of ₩2,400,000 / ~$1,760, however it offers the best value.  Players start with a stack of 30,000, blinds increase at a more gradual 40 minute pace, allowing for plenty of time to make decisions.

For latecomers, this flight is also perfect. Registration closes at the end of Level 9, at approximately 8:20pm. Once that is reached, the remaining players continue until it is down to 15% of the field. The survivors bag up and are guaranteed a spot in Day 2 / ITM round.

Starting at 4pm, Day 1J joins on the tournament floor with buy in at ₩1,200,000 (~US$ 880). This buys players a stack of 15,000. Blinds escalate every 20 minutes. For evening hunters, the Day 1K flight kicks off at 8pm and the last flight Day 1L is at 11:59pm. Buy in for these flights is ₩2,400,000 / ~$1,760 with a starting stack of 30,000 however, blinds will increase at a speedier 20 minutes for Day 1K and 10 minutes for Day 1L.

At Day 1E, registration closed at 275 entries with a further 42 bagging up. Spain’s Soriano Ramos stole the show, bagging up an enormous stack of 905,000, equivalent to 113 bb based on the flight’s ending blinds. Ramos currently leads the Day 2 survivor lineup with 102 players in that list. He has already won an event at the series.

Also bagging up big in that flight, though far behind the leader were Super High Roller finalist Teng Kah Yew, WSOP bracelet champion Yang Zhang, Aussie pro Julian Warhurst, and Ladies Event champion Li Aichung. Impressive run as well for survivors Che Jiaming and Chen Jianbin. For the former Jiaming, this was his third main event qualifying stack which earned him another Dream Bonus! As for Jianbin, it was his second bag for his first Dream Bonus reward.

Over at the Day 1F, 160 entered with 16 making the cut. For the second time, WSOP bracelet winner Xu Qiang navigated to the top to earn the flight’s top dog status. Xu also bagged the lead at Day 1D with a larger stack. In addition to his upcoming winnings, Xu has secured a Dream Bonus reward!

And at the late night Day 1G, the uber fast structure brought 65 to the races with 7 bagging up. At the top of the heap was another WSOP decorated champion, Wei Guoliang, for a second qualifying stack. Yes, he will receive a Dream Bonus. Also surviving was Li Baicun for a second stack as well for a Dream Bonus.

Currently the Main Event has drawn 987 entries. 102 players are into Day 2 with six earning Dream Bonus rewards. An overlay to the $2M guarantee is possible. For those on the fence, this is the time to jump in to try to secure a spot in the money round.
