Shingo Endo wins WPT Japan 2018 – the first stop in WPT Asia Swing
WPT Japancame to an end just a few days ago on September 17th in Tokyo atBane Bagus ShibuyaPoker Club. This was the first stop of a 20-day period called “Asia Swing” – a succession of events taking place beneath theWPT banner in different Asian countries, providing all players with the perfect opportunity to visit Asia.
WPT JapanMain Event took place fromSeptember 15th – 17th, featuring a buy-in of JPY 31,000 (~US$276). Threestarting flights were held in Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo (Shibuya)prior to Day 1D.Shingo Endo emerged as the champion after defeating a field of 322 entries. Since cash prizes are prohibited in Japan, players received their rewards in the form ofWPT Passport creditwhich can be used for future WPT events.
