If you are just hearing of this event, it is the first by the new brand and it has already broken bounds. For the first time, Korean nationals are allowed to play alongside international players in the country though with different methods of entry.

Foreigners can buy in directly at the venue whereas Koreans prepare for JIPT several days in advance without direct cash transactions and register with the tickets / vouchers aka “seed” won at local poker pubs.

Over at the side events, Latvia’s Rolands Norietis is crushing it! Having won opening day’s Single Day High Roller, Norietis closed out another Single Day HR event, this time outlasting the 11 entry field for a payout of KR₩ 24,000,000 (~USD 17,500). Norietis denied Korean Gu Bon Chan at heads up forcing him to settle for the runner up payout of KR₩ 14,280,000 (~USD 10,400).
