PokerStars announces richest APPT Manila festivals featuring over $2M in guarantees
Exciting news from PokerStars reveals larger guarantees for the upcoming Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Manila, along with the introduction of its richest festival, the APPT Manila Championship. Both of these events will take place during the second half of 2024 at the brand’s hub in Okada Manila.
“The APPT circuit was established in 2007 and quickly became the reference tour in Asia, thanks to the quality of organization, and amazing venues”, said Cedric Billot, Associate Director of Live Events at PokerStars.“The 2024 APPT Manila will be one of the largest APPT ever, held in a new conference space at Okada Casino will be nothing but spectacular”.
APPT Manila is PokerStars LIVE Asia‘s most successful Southeast Asian festival held annually in the Philippines. Last year and in 2019, the Main Event generated a record prize pool of over one million USD with China’s Yuanning Wu and Filipino Florencio Campomanes both locking up over PHP 11 Million (~USD 200K).
This year, the brand brings more money to the felt, anunouncing a PHP 119 Million festival guarantee, equivalent to over 2 Million USD, highlighted by the PHP 80 Million (~USD 1.4 Million) guaranteed Main Event. Expecting a massive turnout, APPT Manila will be hosted at Cove Manila, the biggest indoor beach club / nightclub located in Okada Manila.
