Phil Hellmuth whines about $95,000 Poker Cash Game losses
The “Poker Brat” is rarely quiet about his poker results. There won’t be a tournament success that we will not hear about on social media and in the poker media outlets.
His haters can’t deny that winning 15 WSOP bracelets is an incredible achievement. The polarizing Phil Hellmuth keeps on showing up and his wins speak for themselves, shutting down the doubts and hate at least somewhat.
What usually doesn’t speak for itself is the dreaded poker downswing. Most poker players would rather not speak about it and especially not making it public on social media.
Not so Phil Hellmuth though. This week he has been complaining on Twitter about his worst cash game losing session since 2016.
$95,000 Lost at Aria
On 10th February, Hellmuth posted on Twitter about his “worst loss (loss over blinds 95,000/200) since May, 2016.”.
Lost $95,000 in a $100-$200 NoLimHold’em game tonight. Def my worst loss (loss over blinds 95,000/200) since May, 2016. Sadly, I can remember almost every hand and it’s depressing me! #RoughNight

And he even shared two hand histories of this fateful night with his followers:

In his tweet, he is lamenting a period in 2016 where he played in his regular home game in the Bay Area and a Cash Game in Florida and reported record losses around $100,000 at each location in the course of one week.
One has to credit him though for being honest and open about these negative results and maybe it is part of his #positivity philosophy to process his experiences and this side of the game and life in general better.
Access to the best private games: Playing poker withDraymond Green
High stakes private games are where a lot of the cash game action is nowadays and they are often being facilitated by the big poker rooms themselves.
Doyle Brunson recently complained about not getting access to some of the Aria games, while Phil Hellmuth is apparently still a welcomed guest.
The notorious name-dropper and friend of the stars also has access to a lot of games in California, rubbing elbows with the likes of Jay-Z, Chamath Palihapitiya, Zynga Founder Mark Pincus, David Sacks, Jason Calacanis and NBA player David Lee.
And as long as Hellmuth has a seat in the popular private games in Vegas, it is probable that he can also fill some seats with big-name recreation players, like NBA All-Star Draymond Green, who apparently is a student of Phil Hellmuth.
