A tough competition awaited the 148 Day 2 qualifiers of the WPT Cambodia Main Event, and after 13 hours, the bubble burst, a long list of players got paid and the final 9emerged.

Hailing from Malaysia, Kai Fu Wong has no prior cash record in the live poker circuit. He earned his chip leader status by railing Ping Liu and Ryan Revai during the final two tables.
Brian Tougias – USA – 4,140,000 – 69 bbs
Brian Tougias has collected only one live cash of $903 in his home country. However when the race unfolds tomorrow, he is guaranteed to head home with the biggest payday of his young career.
Alex Xiang Wei Lee – Singapore – 3,415,000 – 57 bbs
Well known figure in the Asian poker scene, Alex Lee is one of the most consistent Singaporean players. He has collected over $800,000 in live earnings. Earlier this month he claimed his largest career score $84,358 when he took down theManila Open Poker Tour (MOPT) Main Event.
Kue Seong “Michael” Tchong – Australia – 2,685,000 – 45 bbs
Despite his little experience in the live poker circuit Kue Seong Tchong is having an excellent week. Coming final day, it will be his 3rd final table atWPT Cambodia having already placed 3rd and 5th in two side events.
Aladin Reskallah – France – 2,570,000 – 43 bbs
Aladin Reskallah is not a familiar face in Asia but is one of the most talented of this final table. Playing mostly online, he has earned a sponsorship contract with French online poker room Winamax by topping the online contest ” Top Shark”.
Si Yang Phua – Singapore – 1,650,000 – 28 bbs
With over $ 100,000 of earnings collected in the Asian circuit, Si Yang Phua has already had his fair share of success. Last year he almost claimed his first major victory finishing runner-up of the APT Manila Championships for$ 34,830.
Sim Jae Kyung aka Simba – Korea – 1,630,000 – 27 bbs
With a solid $700,000 in live earnings, Simba is one of the most decorated Korean players. He made his name in Asia between 2014 – 2016 when his run on the circuit earned him the top spot on the Korean GPI Index. His career slowed down after relocating in the USA for a few years but has returned to Asia in full force.
Yong Cheong “Ricky” Foo – Singapore – 1,040,000 – 17 bbs
Singapore Yong Cheong Foo has put a lot of energy at the poker tables in 2019 cashing more than 14 times. This summer in Las Vegas he claimed his career best cash for $21,182 at the $ 1,100 No Limit Hold’em – MSPT Event. He will play tomorrow for his biggest payday and his first major title.
Jiyoung Kim – Korea – 695,000 – 12 bbs
Jiyoung Kim made the news this summer by taking down the WSOP Ladies event. This victory earned her $167,308 and a fancy new bracelet.

WPT Cambodia Main Event – Season XVIII
WPT Cambodia kicked off on November 16 at NagaWorld Phnom Penh with five days of games before the Main Event got rolling on November 21. The three starting days set a new WPT APAC record of 750 entries, and with buy-in at US$ 1,100, the prize pool was also something to gawk at closing at a very rich US$ 727,500. Payouts began at 94th place, the largest cuts will be claimed on the final day starting at 1pm on Monday, November 25.
In addition to the top prize, the winner will receive 1500 points towards the Season XVIII WPT Asia Pacific Player of the Year Leaderboard. Currently the only player already on the board is Sim Jae Kyung with 60 points. If he wins the title, he will take the lead in the race.
