Hanoi Super Series: Warm Up event draws 262 entries; 34 advance led by Pham Ngoc Tu; full chip counts inside
The Hanoi Super Series may have had a slow start but on Day 2, it was pedal to the metal as players rushed in theGrand Loyal Poker Club for a seat at the Warm Up event. First up was Day 1B which pulled in the largest crowd of 126 entries followed by Day 1C with 84 to spill over the advertised ₫2 Billion guarantee. In total, the event drew 262 entries for an opening prize pool of ₫2,033,120,000.
Day 1A: 52 entries / 7 advanced
Day 1B: 126 entries / 16 advanced
Day 1C: 84 entries / 11 advanced
Bagging up the overall largest stack was Day 1B chip leader Pham Ngoc Tu with a massive 536,000 stack. A far second is well known highly decorated pro Nguyen Quang Huy who topped Day 1C with 401,000 in chips. Other players also making the cut were USA’s Trent Fechter, Singapore’s Aaron Siyang Phua, and Vietnam’s Nguyen Van Trung. Not many Koreans advanced however among those that did was Korea Mind Game Members (KMGM) player Hwang Seong Il.
The 34 Day 1 survivors return on Wednesday, November 30 at 11am each one guaranteed ₫13,000,000 (~$525), however all eyes will be on the ₫500,000,000 (~$20,195) top prize. Watch the final table race via the Grand Loyal Poker Club facebook page. Payout breakdown can be found down below.
