GGPoker tournament tracking discontinued on SharkScope
Result tracking across the poker field has always been a vital tool throughout every player’s career growth and evaluation. From counting profit margins to looking up opponents’ data, SharkScope has always been the go-to site for the majority of the online poker player pool. Known as the largest database of online poker tournament results, SharkScope has been recording data from a wide range of poker platforms for over two decades and counting.
For the longest time, the site has included player statistics from your usual major platforms PokerStars, partypoker, 888poker, Winning Poker Network, to name a few. However, as of earlier this week, the subscription-based tool took to social media to announce the discontinuation of GGPoker tournament tracking without prior notice
One of the key reasons behind the change as cited by SharkScope is the idea of “optimizing the player experience and increasing security“. With GGPoker being the leading network in the field, all skins under its flag – AllNewPoker, BestPoker, BetKings, DakaPoker, Natural8, Olybet, OptiBet, PokerOK, PPIPoker, TianLongPoker, TiltKing, W88, and YouLePoker, are all affected.
In its official Facebook post, SharkScopehighlighted “significantly worsened player safety” conditions brought by GGNetwork’s unexpected move, and the benefits to having its features on board hugely positive for the poker ecosystem. SharkScope prides itself in being “used countless times to detect fraudulent and dishonest behavior across various networks”, and has since racked up several negative comments from the poker community following its post last Tuesday.
Sharkscope was the main method helping me to detect a bot-ring in low/midstakes MTTs 1.5 year ago, which remained undetected by @GGPoker security. Over 1.5mln in winnings… I guess they don't want people to sniff around anymore 🤡

888poker Stream Team member Aaron Barone went on to further add “Realized today that along with blocking @sharkscope, @GGPoker made it so you can’t see eliminated players in the lobby, nor the number of entries. Basically, it’s now impossible to see if anyone, ever, has lost a single dollar in tournament poker on their site”.
To date, GGPoker has not spoken about the issue as players and enthusiasts from all parts of the globe remain hopeful that the top network paves the way to rescind its decision. Tournament results on the GGNetwork has been made available to SharkScope since mid 2017 and has collected over 3.7 million tournament results throughout the past six years.
“We believe there might still be a chance they will change their mind, so if you value our service on GG, we strongly suggest you contact their support to explain how valuable you consider our services and how important they are to you when choosing which poker site to play on”, closed SharkScope.
