Aussie Millions Main Event Day 2 Facts & Figures

For the past 4 days, the action in the Aussie Millions Main Event held at the Crown Casino Melbourne has been unstoppable, hand after hand. With the end of Day 2 of the Main Event, the numbers, the chip counts and the players are in.

To give a quick update of what’s happening in the country Down Under, we’ve collated all the important figures & data.

Figures

Total Prize Pool: AU$7,685,000 – 1stPlace will receive a whopping AU$1.6 Million while 2ndplace will take home AU$1 Million.

Day 3 Field: 150 players moved into Day 3 and the top 80 will be In-The-Money with the lowest payout stipulated at AU$15,000

Average Stack: The average stack is 144,166 going into Day 3 with blinds starting at 1200/2400 Ante: 400 (Level 13)

Total Number of Entries: 2017 Aussie Millions Main Event accumulated a total participation of 725 entries as compared to last year’s 732 entries. The highest ever playing field recorded for the Main Event was in 2008 with 780 entries.

Player & Chip Count Update

Jennifer Tilly:Actress & respected poker player, Tilly ended Day 2 as chip leader with 497,100.

Erik Seidel: Seidel has the 9thlargest stack in the field with 309,100 chips. He will definitely give the Main Event first place a go but you can expect to see more of this poker legend on the felt at the upcoming High Roller Events.

Tony Dunst: WPT commentator and Runner-up to the 2016 Aussie Millions Main Event, Dunst is 7thin chip stack with 242,600 chips.

Mustapha Kanit: Italian player Kanit entered Day2 as the chip leader with 215,000 chips. But as all things go in poker, everything can change with 1 hand and that was exactly what happened to Kanit who is now down to half his original chip stack at 125,700 chips.

Feder Holz: “Retired” German poker pro turned recreational player Holz entered the Main Event at the very last minute of the first level of Day 2 and is still in the running with an above average stack of 175,700 chips entering Day3. And to top this, Holz is still in contention in the 100k Super High Roller Event with the 2ndstack. Seven players are still in the High Roller Event and play will resume on Saturday.
