The month-long initial segment of the 2020 World Series of Poker Online has finally come to a close having awarded 31 fortunate winners the coveted gold bracelet. The U.S. leg which ran on the official client WSOP.com is barely half of the 85 total bracelets to be given out this summer. An exciting moment in the online poker scene, a second leg intended for international players is presently underway on the Natural8 – GGPoker Network for players looking for more action. For the first time in WSOP history, participants geo-located outside of the U.S. will have a chance to compete for WSOP gold in one of the current leading platforms.

Concluding event, the $1,000 NLH Championship closed out the first part of the series, awarding its latest winner “2Rivers” a whopping $310,832 payout. Winners William “SlaweelRyam” Romaine, Nick “shadowjacker” Guagenti and Jonathan “SugarJ” Lessin likewise bagged the last few events earning themselves the prestigious WSOP title. Highlighted below are more details for Events #28-31 along with its final table results.

Attracting a total of 525 entries, the last Omaha event for the series generated a prize pool worth $498,750 split among the last 80 players remaining. After twelve hours of play, it was no other than Connecticut’s William “SlaweelRyam” Romaine who emerged as champion after beating Mark “victb” Ioli in the heads up match. Romaine, who previously came in second place in Event #13: $1,500 High Roller Freezeout for $110,979, added a similar score to his roll but this time with a WSOP gold bracelet tied to it. Taking home $110,673 for his win, Romaine added another strong finish to his already successful record having won the WSOP Circuit WSOP.com $525 Main Event for $92,400 just a year ago.

With only six players left in the running, Romaine remained active throughout the final table play scoring the first elimination of short stacked Gabriel “NJ_FittyFish” Ramos with Ace-King-King-three against his opponent’s Queen-ten-ten-nine. Romaine soon after racked up more chips after hitting a straight on the river sending Stephen “Chippingggup” Tyson to leave in fourth place. His next victim was Vasu “kheescoopy” Amarapu who got it in with both low and high draws against Romaine’s top pair which held throughout the river. Bringing in a 3:1 chip advantage against last opponent Ioli, it only took two hands for Romaine to finish it off with top pair Aces for Ioli’s remaining big blind.

At the tail end of its series, the $2,000 NLH deepstack drew in 747 entries to boost the total prize pool to a clear seven digits. About eleven hours of grind was what it took for Ohio native Nick “shadowjacker” Guagenti to bag the lion’s share of the $1,419,300 prize pool, cashing in on his first gold bracelet as well as a burly $305,433 in winnings. With results dating back to 2006 in HendonMob, the longtime poker pro has amassed over $1.3 million in total live earnings with his best live cash amounting to $153,548. Although Guagenti had a few close calls to winning a WSOP bracelet, his most recent win is a huge feat for the American pro after finally having a title under his belt along with a huge boost to his already impressive 52 WSOP-related cashes totaling $682,801.

Coming into the final table middle of the pack, Guagenti managed to pick up a few pots but did not score a single elimination up until three-handed play began. Guagenti took the lead after winning a huge flip against opponent Matthew “EarvinMagic” Parry with pocket threes against Parry’s Ace-Queen. Guagenti then followed to eliminate Ari “philivey” Engel after calling off Engel’s eight big blind shove from the small blind with A-nine. Failing to get lucky with his six-nine, Engel settled for a third place finish and a $130,292 payout. Still in the lead, Guagenti sealed the deal after all the chips went in the pot on his flopped nut straight with three-five. Parry’s top pair of sevens was instantly drawing dead on the turn, awarding Guagenti the overall win and the dreamy WSOP bracelet.

The second to the last event of the series was a special one intended for seniors aged at least 50 years old in order to qualify. Regardless of the age restriction, the $500 NLH event still attracted a total of 720 entries resulting in a $324,000 prize pool. Capturing his career first WSOP gold bracelet, Jonathan “SugarJ” Lessin topped the field after more than ten hours of play and received $64,411 in top prize. The significant win for Lessin was a tremendous increase for his record of seven WSOP-related cashes all from the official client WSOP.com amounting to $5,218 in total.

It seemed as though opponent Allen “Nucman” Pock was Lessin’s biggest contender for the title having entered the final table as the chip leader and continued to amass more chips as the game pushed on. Interestingly, Pock soon fell into the hands of James “muskrrr” Moore after flopping top pair kings against Moore’s turned trip fives. Garnering another stack, Moore began the heads up battle with a 6:1 chip advantage against Lessin. Obviously the underdog, Lessin managed to close the gap and eventually secured the win after the final hand saw Moore jamming Ace-high on a five-high flop only to be called by Lessin’s top two pair.

Closing out the series, the last event on schedule generated the biggest prize pool of all the 31 events lined up. Drawing in 2,126 entries, the generated prize pool rose to $2,019,700 in total with the last 330 players getting in the money. It took nearly twelve hours of play before player Nahrain “2Rivers” Tamero was crowned the champion and the last bracelet awardee for the WSOP Online U.S. leg held on the client WSOP.com.

The final table play was quick to progress, seeing a series of eliminations right off the bat. Scoring the first elimination, “2Rivers” proceeded to knock out opponent “goatplaya”’s Jack-ten with Ace-eight. Runner-up Norman “abnormality” Michalek was similarly racking up chips ending opponents Brian “foxxx” Kirchhoff and Andrew “WATCHGUY42” Lichtenberger’s run in fourth and third place respectively. With over double in chips against his opponent “2Rivers” by heads up play, Michalek eventually lost the lead after “2Rivers” picked off two of his bluffs. A last failed river bluff from Michalek resulted in “2Rivers” gaining the overall victory and the coveted WSOP gold.
