It has only been a little over a week since the 2020 World Series of Poker online began running its scheduled games on the official client, WSOP.com and already seven lucky winners have claimed one of the industry’s most coveted awards. Awarding one gold bracelet a day for WSOP’s U.S. leg, 24 more are left to be won in its succeeding games. While the fields for the exclusive events are relatively smaller due to the geo-location restriction, international players keen on winning a bracelet themselves can expect more when the leading brand launches its international segment on the 19th.

To date, online players Robert “bustinballs” Kuhn, Matt “Bodeyster” Bode, Allen “Acnyc718” Chang, Nathan “surfbum” Gamble and Joon “jykpoker” Kim have secured their respective bracelets along with noteworthy top prizes for this past week’s events. A bustling time for the online poker scene, a short recap of Events #3-7 are highlighted below.

Event #3: $400 No Limit Hold’em – Robert “bustinballs” Kuhn ($115,850)

The third event of the esteemed series concluded last Friday night crowning Ohio native Robert Kuhn his first WSOP gold bracelet and $115,850 in top prize. The $400 event drew 1,450 runners, 641 of which rebought to push the field to a total of 2,091 entries. Splitting the $752,760 prize pool, the final table qualifiers were guaranteed a minimum payout of $9,560 with only the champion receiving a six-figure score.

Coming in to the final table as the chip leader, Kuhn was already a step closer to a forthcoming victory. The American poker player who had previously scored a WSOP circuit gold ring after taking down a Main Event back in 2016, was fortunately in for a great spot to win a massive deal of chips three-handed. Aggressive opponent Richard “Doc33” Federico four-bet jammed with queen-jack suited only to be crushed by Kuhn’s pocket kings. Scooping up the huge pot put Kuhn to a nearly 5:1 chip advantage for the heads up battle against Ronald “rlksaces” Keren. After roughly an hour, Kuhn sealed the deal claiming his 20th WSOP-related cash and of course, the dreamy gold bracelet.

Event #4: $500 No Limit Hold’em Super Turbo – Matt “Bodeyster” Bode ($97,091)

Running in a Super Turbo format, the fourth event of the series ran only less than six hours of play before Matt “Bodeyster” Bode topped the 1,179 entry-field making it one of the fastest gold bracelets won in WSOP history. Bode, who considers himself a part-time pro MTT player for years, dominated the field from the comfort of his dad’s basement to ship $97,091 in winnings and a WSOP gold bracelet.

Getting the lion’s share of the $530,550 prize pool, Bode had previously envisioned his win tweeting, “Here goes to becoming a secret online crusher. Using pios solvers programs poker coaching sites backers and discord to ship a bracelet. No retweets when this ages well.” just a week prior.

The final table play lasted fairly quick, with all players left to go with more or less ten big blinds when five players were left in the running for the title. Following his charts closely, Bode ran pretty well while making the right jams in certain spots and eventually claiming the lead. His hot run continued until the end when his final hand of queen-seven got lucky against Brian “XcrazylegsX” Frasca’s ace-queen, scoring him the anticipated victory as well as his first gold bracelet.

Sundays are usually one of the busiest nights in the online poker scene with leading networks hosting bigger events than most days. Fortunately for Brooklyn-based player Allen “Acnyc718” Chang, his late Sunday night run ended with a bang, booking a sweet $161,286 win and his first WSOP gold bracelet. Unlike the previous events, the $1,000 online tournament was a freezeout which eliminated players with deep pockets to rebuy once they busted. The scheduled fifth event of the series nonetheless, still generated a great turnout of 854 players to generate a prize pool of $811,300.

Entering the final table as the chip leader, Chang continued to amass more chips sending at least three other players to the rails before reaching the endgame against Philip “tomte” Yeh. By this time, Chang was already sitting at a 3:1 chip lead with the final hand coming down to Chang calling off Yeh’s jam with queen-jack. Yeh, who failed to get lucky with his eight-six was eventually left to settle for second place along with $99,708.77. With over a decade long record of tournament cashes based on the HendonMob database, Chang finally secured his first champion title in a WSOP event and his first prestigious gold bracelet award.

Running a variety of games, the sixth event concluded 2020 WSOP online’s first non-hold’em event on schedule earlier this week. It was none other than Nathan “surfbum” Gamble who claimed the victory and the sixth gold bracelet awarded this month after more than 12 hours of play. The Texas poker pro came out on top bagging an $89,424 paycheck and a coveted gold bracelet after dominating the 833-entry field.

Gaining his second career bracelet award, Gamble had previously won his first gold bracelet back in 2017 after crushing a similar format. His former win from the past WSOP $1,500 PLO8 event awarded him with $223,339 in winnings by which he also topped an 830-entry field.

Proving his skills once more, Gamble beasted through the final table holding an 8:1 chip advantage by the heads up battle against Shane “danish01” Daniels. Despite the wide gap in chip stack, Daniels remained focused and was even successful in taking over the chip lead at one point. Gamble however, ended Daniels’ run in a massive all-in preflop hand holding both high-and low options to make a seven-high straight, ultimately crushing Daniels’ kings and queens for the win.

A big win for poker player Joon “jykpoker” Kim landed just yesterday as he scooped up Event #7 of the WSOP online series, winning $103,127 in top prize, an additional $3,000 in bounties and his very first gold bracelet. Having only 11 WSOP-related cashes totaling to a modest $19,113 under his belt, the impressive win is definitely a huge breakthrough moment for the recreational player’s poker dream.

The seventh event attracted a total of 989 entrants, pushing the prize pool to $731,660 in value. Running good and catching great spots, Kim was playing for the win despite being in contention with more experienced players like two-time WSOP bracelet winner Eric “CircleBall” Baldwin, who eventually busted in third after running sevens into Kim’s pocket aces. With a 5:1 chip lead in the heads up play against “bunsamillion”, Kim quickly gained the victory after flopping top pair with king-nine in an all-in preflop pot to finish his opponent off in second place.
