Multi-million APT Hanoi Billions Main Event on the way! Two flights remaining

roomshot 1

On Day 5 of festivities, the brand’s season ender – APT Hanoi Billions 2023 – drew another massive field of 535 entries (442 unique) to bring the cumulative total Main Event entries to 1,418. This was just 17 heads shy of breaching the current record held by APT Taipei of 1,434 entries. Taiwan’s CTP founder David Tai and CTP Director of International Marketing Raymond Wong are in Hanoi to witness the momentous occasion which will happen by Flight C’s official “shuffle up and deal” kickoff. At this point, it’s any guess how high it will go.

Since the kick-off of APT Hanoi Billions, a relentless wave of players surged through the doors of the National Convention Center in Hanoi, Vietnam. The flagship event, boasting a seven-figure USD prize pool, has garnered overwhelming support. However, it’s not just the substantial prize pool that attracts players; the Main Event’s highly revered deep-stack structure, acknowledged not only in the region but globally, added to its allure. Though some slight changes have been made, mainly offering a variety of speeds, the deep structure has stayed intact.

For the final two flights (Flight C and Flight D), the blinds increase at the fastest of 30 minute intervals. Starting stack is 40,000, equivalent to 400x the opening big blind. The last chance to sign up is before Day 2 begins. Players will receive a starting stack equivalent to a decent 25 bb.

Jun Young Park

Main Event Flight B concluded with South Korea’s Jun Young Park bagging up a very healthy 300 bb stack, trailed by well known Vietnamese high roller Nguyen Trung Quan with 267 bb. Rounding out the top three was APT Main Event champion Filipino Hernan Villa with 254 bb. Another decorated champion making the the upper tier was Vietnam’s Huu Dung Nguyen with 210 bb.

The stakes are high, and frontrunners are in an excellent position, though other players have two more starting flights to test their luck and skills.
