Each seat had a value of PHP4,000. With 640 runners taking part, the Walk to a Million event exceeded the PHP1 million guarantee, eventually reaching PHP1,280,000 (USD$27,744).

64 of the initial 640 starting field would go on to cash, and by the time the final table was set, Lester Edoc had a commanding lead. His 2.6 million stack dwarfed his nearest challenger, who had 1.7 million. All other players had under 1 million. Of course, it is good to start the final table as big chip leader with the weight of expectation on you, but closing it out and winning is still a tough task. He is quickly becoming one of the most decorated and accomplished players from the Philippines.
