This season’s poker craze is far from over, especially with the widely recognized Asian Poker Tour currently celebrating its largest festival lineup in brand history. Last year’s APT Summer Series at Hanoi awarded local runner Dinh Duc Linh a careeer-best score of VND 3.4BN (~US$ 145.5K) after besting the 581-entry field. Linh defeated India’s Akshay Nasa in heads up battle and secured the 24K golden lion APT Main Event trophy in addition to his top prize.
This summer’s VND 35MN (~US$ 1,505) buy-in APT Main Event features a VND 12BN (~US$ 500K) prize pool, where Flight A is set to run tomorrow. While the brand is known for its great tournament structures, jumping in the earlier starting flights offers more playability across the longer blind levels – Flight A (60 mins), Flight B (45 mins), Flight C and D (30 mins). After four flights have concluded, players can still snag the last chance to qualify through Day 2 with registration still open until 11:00 on Thursday, July 27.
