Japan’s Daigo Nakata captures maiden title at APL Manila Tip-Off; Darren Yu wins Hyper Turbo

Festival opener APL Tip-Off found its champion after the lone Japanese at the final table, Daigo Nakata, defeated local player Raymundo Gomez at heads up. This was Nakata’s first ever live victory. It earned him a career high payout of PHP 649,000 (~$26,770).

The 2Ace Poker Room buzzed with action as the APL Tip-Off kicked off the  Ace Poker League Manila series on November 27, 2023. Drawing a diverse crowd of locals, Koreans, and international players, the event built a starting field of 328 entries, surpassing the PHP 2M guarantee for a substantial PHP 3,181,600 prize pool.

The festival is ongoing at 2Ace Poker Room in Manila with the APL Main Event under the spotlight highlighted by its PH₱ 20,000,000 (~$360,670) prize pool. Only two flights remaining, both taking place on November 30 starting at 12pm.
