How does the Team Event work?

Team Event structure

Each team consists of 4 players and each player is choosing the game type they will play out of NL Hold’em, PL Omaha, Hold’em Hyper and Short Deck in Day 1 and Day 2.

Day 1 will be played on 29th March from 12:00 to 16:00 with each table playing a single variant. Out of the 24 teams, the top 6 in chip rankings will automatically move on to Day 2. But teams 7-18 will have a second chance in the Resurrection Round from 16:30 to 18:30 on the same day. They will play on as before, but scoring will be done with a points system.

The top two teams of Day 1 will receive a cherry on top with J88 Main Event tickets for the first team and J88 Cup tickets for the second team.

The 9 teams returning for Day 2 on 31st March will play a similar structure as in Day 1 and rankings will be done using the points scoring system.

Day 3, the final day on 1st April, will be fought out by the top 3 teams of Day 2. On this day, the structure will change, with rotating variants every level. The team members playing will be able to discuss every action with their teammates though and so draw on the combined knowledge of their group.
