Hanoi Super Series MAIN EVENT breaches guarantee with 352 entries; 44 advance to Day 2 led by Nguyen Thanh Long

 

The past two days has been elbow to elbow at the Grand Loyal Poker Club in Hanoi, Vietnam with the inaugural Hanoi Super Series MAIN EVENT under the spotlight. Three starting heats were scheduled from November 30 to December 1, resulting in a combined 352 entries to easily surpass the guarantee.

Breaking it down, Day 1A drew 87 entries with 11 players left at bagging, Day 1B was the largest with 183 entries and 23 survivors, and at the final heat, the Day 1C Turbo saw 82 turn up with 10 advancing. 44 players will return to action on Saturday, December 2 at 11am. Each one is guaranteed a piece of the boosted ₫6,136,640,000 (~$259,250) prize pool with payouts starting at ₫33,000,000 (~$1,350). While making money is the goal, the top of the rung is what everyone will be aiming for, the ₫1,379,000,000 (~$56,600) champion’s purse. Payouts are found at the bottom of the page.

When players return, blinds will increase at a slower 60 minute pace. Leading in the pack is Nguyen Thanh Long who bagged the biggest at Day 1A. Action will run until the final table of 8 players is reached.
