GPI Asia Poker Festival from November 10-20 at Asia Poker Arena in Taipei Ctiy, Taiwan

 

Poker players in the Asian region have plenty to get excited about as another fun festival is just around the corner. Running from November 10 to 20, 2023 is the second season of GPI Asia Poker Festival which takes place in Taipei City at the region’s largest poker room, Asia Poker Arena.

Hosted by the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club), comprising the festival are events by Global Poker Index (GPI), Master Poker Series, and Hendon Mob.

GPI Asia Poker Festival – Schedule

GPL Taiwan 2023 Teams Event

Under GPI is the Global Poker League (GPL) Taiwan 2023 Teams Event which opens the games on November 10. Now in its fourth edition, the GPL Teams Event features a NT$ 300,000 (~$9,265) guarantee reserved for the top 3, and additional sponsor reward – 2x NT $6,600 THMC seats, 2x NT$ 15,000 MPS Main Event seats. Buy in per team is NT$ 20,000 (~$617). Each team is made up of four players – 1 captain and 3 players. This is a three-day event.

*Participants in the GPL Teams Event will also automatically qualify for the MPS Master Team challenge. Team members will accumulate points in the MPS series when they ITM, with the opportunity to compete for the team champion reward sponsored by the CTP Poker Club.

Hendon Mob Events

Under Hendon Mob – the largest and most comprehensive poker database worldwide – are three events that bring a total guarantee of NT$ 2,000,0000 (~$61,760).

• The Hendon Mob Mini Main Event – November 11 – NT$ 3,500 (~$110) buy in – NT$ 500K guarantee
• The Hendon Mob Mystery Bounty – November 13 to 14 – NT$ 3,500 (~$110) buy in – NT$ 500K guarantee
• The Hendon Mob Championship Taiwan – NT$ 7,000 (~$220) buy in – NT$ 1,000,000 guarantee

Master Poker Series

The bulk of the festival is the Master Poker Series (MPS) featuring 26 trophy events. All types of No Limit Hold’em formats are offered with buy ins from the cheapest of NT$ 2,500 (~$77) to the highest of NT$ 30,000 (~$925). 

Highlighting the festival is the MPS Main Event which features a NT$ 2,000,000 (~$61,760) guarantee. This has been boosted by half a million from previous. The Main Event runs from November 17 to 20 with three starting days scheduled. Buy in is NT$ 15,000 (~$463).

CTP Daily Deepstacks

And of course, the beloved CTP Daily Deepstacks is part of the roster. A total of nine are offered with winners claiming trophies. Buy in is NT$ 1,500 (~$46).
