Get ready for Triton Poker Vietnam this March

Premium poker brand, Triton Poker, has set its imprint in various places around the world and coming this March, Vietnam will be added to that list. Revealed earlier this month, the event takes place from March 1 to 13 at Hoiana Resort & Golf in Hoi An, Vietnam. It will be the brand’s first festival of the new year and third stop of Season 2.

Since its inception in 2016, Triton Poker has become one of the major driving forces of the high stakes scene, especially for games outside of Las Vegas. Its nosebleed tournaments bring together the world’s elite such as Tom Dwan, Phil Ivey, Jason Koon, Michael Addamo, Justin Bonomo, Daniel Cates, all under one roof where they compete for millions.

In 2019, the London stop amassed $14.8 Million, the richest Triton Main Event prize pool to date. Malaysia’s Wai Kin Yong pocketed over $3.1 Million. Last year, two new destinations were added, Spain and Cyprus. Main Event champions Henrik Hecklen and Punnat Punsri each earned over $2 Million.

At the upcoming Triton Poker Vietnam, big prizes will once again be at stake. Two poker variants are featured, No Limit Hold’em and Short Deck, for a total of 13 huge events. Tournament buy ins start at $15,000 and go as high as $100,000 for the NLH Main Event. For the first time a bounty event has been added to the lineup and it is none other than the trend-setting Mystery Bounty. Buy in is set at $20K. The $50K SD Main Event closes the series.

Last year, Triton signed online giant GGPoker as title sponsor for one of its festivals. With GGPoker set to bring its highly revered Super MILLION$ into the live arena, it is no surprise to see it in the upcoming lineup. The GG Super MILLION$ Live kicks off the series with buy in at $25,000.

Off the felt, the quaint town of Hoi An has plenty to offer. Located on the eastern border, its long coastline makes for a good break from the action indoors. The town is also a recognized UNESCO World Heritage site and it is just a stone’s throw from Da Nang, one of the country’s famous tourist destinations.
