Full schedule announced for the upcoming PPPoker World Championship

PPPoker has released its full schedule of events for the upcoming 2019 PPPoker World Championship (PPWC). In addition to the Teams Event and the Main Event – PHP 20M Guaranteed, nine more events have been announced bringing it to a total of 11 events across the board. The seven-day festival will be held from February 15 to 21 at Resorts World Manila in the Philippines.

Through the years, the PPPoker social poker application has gained in popularity not just in Asia but across the globe. This year has seen the poker app make tremendous strides with an event hosted in countries such as the Philippines, Germany, Taiwan, Japan, Brazil, Australia, and India.

Taking on a much bigger challenge next year, PPWC will be the first of its kind for the young brand. PPPoker intends to bring together all its constituents under one global poker competition with a massive guaranteed prize pool of PHP 30,000,000 (~US$574,665). The bulk of that is reserved for the Main Event with its PHP 20,000,000 (~US$383,110) guaranteed prize pool.

Event 2: Mixed Game – PHP 8,800 buy-in
Event 4: PLO – PHP 11,000 buy-in
Event 5: Deep Stack Turbo – PHP 8,800 buy-in
Event 6: Monster Stack NLH – PHP 16,500 buy-in
Event 7: High Roller – PHP 110,000 buy-in
Event 8: Bounty Event – PHP 22,000 buy-in
Event 9: Six Max NLH – PHP 11,000 buy-in
Event 10: Shot Clock Bounty – PHP 6,000 buy-in
Event 11: PPPoker Championship NLH Freezeout – PHP 16,500 buy-in

PPWC Main Event

The 7-day festival features a PHP 20,000,000 (~US$383,110) guaranteed Main Event (Event 3). The buy in is set at PHP 55,000 (~US$1,000).

PPPoker users will have the opportunity to win PPWC Main Event tickets through their in-app Global Tournaments leading up to the series.

PPWC TEAMS Event

Additionally, in what promises be one of the highlights of the series, players representing dozens of different countries will compete in the Teams Event (Event 1) for the honor of crowning their nation the PPPoker World Champion. This is the kickoff event of the festival. Teams from around the world are expected to attend. The buy in for a team of nine into the event is set at PHP 550,000 (~US$10,000).
