Famous StarCraft “BoxeR” and “YellOw” rivals join J88Poker

Former professional StarCraft Pro Gamers from South Korea, Lim Yo Hwan and Hong Jin Ho have signed sponsorship contracts with J88Poker at the end of May.

Lim Yo Hwan, also known as “BoxeR”, is widely considered to be one of the most successful StarCraft players. He has been the first South Korean star to bring his country to the top of the StarCraft scene.

After retiring Lim Yo Hwan transitioned to poker. He plays both online and live since 2014 and has collected over $426,499 in live earnings on the Asian Poker Circuit.

Hong Jin Ho

Hong Jin Ho, also known as ‘YellOw’, is famous for never having won first place in major StarCraft tournaments despite strong performances. He managed to finish second place six times, which earned him the title “King of Silver“.

After the retirement, Jin Ho started participating in TV shows. His breakthrough as a popular TV star happened when he became the champion of the Korean reality game show “The Genius: Rules of the Game”.

In true Hong Jin Ho fashion, he finished 2nd in the J88PT Main Event in March. In the last hand of the tournament he had Q♠Q♣ against Chi Hang’s 10♦10♠, the final board 9♦7♥2♣10♣6♦.

Kim Hak Do is a famous comedian, who has never been afraid to stand up for the things he believes in. Even though playing poker is not considered legal in South Korea, he announced on national television that he will become a professional poker player to prove that it is a mind sport. J88Poker was impressed by his courage and decided to join him in the fight for legalization of poker in Korea.

J88Poker was launched in October 2017, the J88PT live events were held successfully in December 2018 and March 2019 in Taipei, which created many records in Taiwan and became one of the most popular live tournament brands.
