Everything you should know about the upcoming APL Ho Chi Minh City

The Asia Poker League Taiwan was wrapped up last week and we can already look forward to the next stop of this popular poker festival series.

It will be the first APL event in Vietnam in 2019 from 9th to 20th May at the Pro Poker Club HCMC.

Players are encouraged to travel to the 17-event festival on the first day as there will be a freeroll for one VND 16,500,000 (~US$709.62) Main Event and two VND 11,000,000  (~US$472) Massive Stack seats.

The VND 16,500,000 Main Event will have four starting flights starting on 12th May and conclude with the final 9 on 18th May. The prize pool is guaranteed at VND 8 billion (~US$343,984).

The festival will also feature two high roller tournaments. The VND 30,000,000  (~US$1,290)  High Roller from 16th to 19th May with three starting days and the 2-day VND 50,000,000 (~US$2,149) Super High Roller on 19th & 20th May with VND 5 billion guaranteed (~US$214,952).

A guaranteed kick-off and strong finish

Besides the freeroll on 9th May there will be another good reason to arrive early, the VND 6,000,000 (~US$258)Kick Off event with  VND 1,5 billion guaranteed (~US$64,498). It will have three starting days and conclude on 12th May.

Other notable events in the schedule are the two K.O. Bounty events for VND 6,600,000  (~US$283) on 10th May and VND 8,800,000 (~US$378) on 18th May, the VND 6,600,000 (~US$283) Pot Limit Omaha on 12th and a selection of satellites into various bigger events.

This stop for the Asia Poker League will be one of two in Vietnam this year with the second one taking place 7th to 17th November.
