Day 2 began with 11 players returning for the final table, all guaranteed cash and chasing the remaining bounties and the $32,400 first-place prize. From the very start, Korn established himself as a major threat, combining precise aggression with timely all-ins to steadily accumulate chips and put pressure on his opponents.

Ankit Ahuja, who began the day as a chip leader, was sent to the rail in 9th place after Korn rivered a set to crack Ahuja’s top pair, marking one of Korn’s early bounties. Shortly after, Xiaosheng Zheng used the chaos to rack up multiple bounties, including the tournament’s top $20,000 bounty, but eventually fell in 4th place, leaving Korn in command.

Xiaosheng Zheng Draws Biggest $20K Bounty - 4th Place

The mid-stages of the final table were punctuated by high-stakes flips and dramatic all-ins. Yunsheng Sun, holding a significant stack, ran into Korn’s flush draw and was eliminated in 3rd place when the turn and river completed Korn’s suit. This pivotal hand left Korn with an overwhelming lead as heads-up play approached.

Heads-up play pitted Korn against Mike Takayama, who mounted a brief comeback despite starting with a much shorter stack. Korn’s dominance was evident as Takayama blindly shoved his remaining 200,000 preflop, only to run into Korn’s premium J♠ J♥ . The board ran 8♣ 8♦ 7♣ Q♦ T♣ , and Korn’s jacks held, securing the championship in one decisive hand.

After a grueling 13-hour opening day, the remaining field has locked up a payout and now turns its focus toward the biggest prizes still on the table, including a $32,400 first-place prize and a lucrative slate of mystery bounties yet to be revealed.

The event attracted 67 entries, building a total prize pool of $178,723, with $111,723 allocated to the regular payouts and an additional $67,000 set aside for mystery bounties. While only one player fell on the bubble, that moment proved decisive, reshaping the leaderboard and setting a dramatic tone for the remainder of the tournament.

That pivotal hand came late on Day 1, when Ankit Ahuja eliminated Qi Li in brutal fashion, cracking Li’s full house with rivered quads to burst the bubble. The massive pot not only secured payouts for the rest of the field but also propelled Ahuja into a commanding chip lead heading into mystery bounty play.
