Soumitra Choudhury captured his first WPT Cambodia trophy in the $1,100 Big Bounty, outlasting a field of 97 entries to take home the $12,649 first-place prize along with four bounties worth $2,000, for total winnings of $14,649. The two-day event featured fast-paced, high-stakes action, dramatic flips, and relentless aggression from the start, culminating in a thrilling heads-up battle against chip leader Michel Molenaar.

Day 2 resumed with 13 players returning for the final stretch, all guaranteed cash. Early action saw Shixiang Khoo eliminated in 13th place by Aleksandras Rusinovas. The pace remained intense as Rajesh Goyal, Asish Ghosh, and Myo Aung were involved in a triple all-in, producing massive chip swings. Ghosh and Choudhury both doubled up during these early stages, while Goyal lost chips and was eventually eliminated in 11th place.

Final Table

Before final table formed, eliminations accelerated. Heng Kai Perng opened the action with a four-bet shove but ran into Lewis Cowell’s top pair and was sent to the rail in 10th. Myo Aung fell in 9th after his A♣ K♥ could not overcome Aleksandras Rusinovas’ pocket nines.

Asish Ghosh was the first one to be eliminated in 8th when his pocket eights were dominated by Fabian Rolli’s tens, while Elliot Thomas Nicholls and Christoph Dufhaus battled for survival with double-ups and timely calls before Nicholls exited in 6th and Dufhaus in 3rd. Rolli, after several double-ups, was eliminated in 4th place by Molenaar, who maintained his position as chip leader heading into heads-up.

$1,100 Big Bounty Resumes With 13 Left

The $1,100 Big Bounty event drew 97 entries, creating a total prize pool of $94,090, split evenly between a $45,590 regular prize pool and a $48,500 bounty pool. With every knockout worth $500, action was fast and aggressive from the start.

The two-day event reached the money yesterday, with 13 players securing a payout and returning today at 11:30 a.m. to battle it out for the title. All remaining players are guaranteed at least $1,094, while the eventual champion will take home $12,649 plus bounties.

Leading the final 13 is Michel Molenaar with 440,000 chips (88 big blinds), followed by Myo Aung with 375,500 (75 big blinds). Aleksandras Rusinovas rounds out the top three with 361,500 chips (73 big blinds).

Play resumes at Level 15 (2,500/5,000 blinds) with 30-minute levels.
