The AUD 450 Twin Fin Turbo - One Day Event has come to an end, with Carl Gray defeating Jack Sweet heads-up to take home AUD 8,959 and the trophy.
With the blinds at 30,000/60,000 with a 60,000 big blind ante, Sweet limped the button and Gray checked his option in the big blind.
Gray check-called a bet of 60,000 from Sweet on the T♣ 7♣ 3♦ flop before checking again on the 5♠ turn. Sweet bet 200,000, Gray shoved, and Sweet called all-in for his 550,000 total.

Gray had turned two pair against Sweet's pair of sevens, and Sweet needed a ten or an ace to double into the chip lead.
The 9♥ river didn't help Sweet, meaning Gray was the winner, while Sweet collected AUD 5,974 for his runner-up finish.

Thomas LeeThe Player of the Festival and Team of the Festival races are really starting to heat up, with Thomas Lee becoming the first player to break through the 1,000-point mark.
After 23 events, Lee leads the way with 1,095 points, helped by his runner-up finish in the WPT High Roller last night, a win on the opening day of the festival, and a few other deep runs over the first two weeks.
Australian Poker Cup winner Ailen Ji and WPT High Roller champion Adam Kharman are tied for second on 800 points, with Amin Riyazati next on 775 and WPT Prime Championship winner Cooper Feltham just behind on 750. There is still plenty to play for, with the Player of the Festival winner picking up a trophy and a AUD 5,000 WPT Passport.
Over in the Team of the Festival standings, 'Not a Hobby' has started to pull clear at the top on 1,770 points. The team of Zac Vigar, Jack Sweet, Troy Sweey, Nick Lee and Joshua Baraba holds the lead over 'Value-Reg's' and 'The 60/30's', who are tied for second on 1,350 points each.
The top three teams win a cash prize, with the winners also taking home the Team of the Festival trophy.
Twin Fin Turbo Final TableWhile Day 1b of the WPT Championship Event has just entered Level 4, the final table of the Twin Fin Turbo - One Day Event has also been reached.
The AUD 450 buy-in tournament attracted 78 entries, generating a prize pool of AUD 31,200. Eight players remain in contention, including Jack Sweet and Chun Lik.
The eventual champion will take home AUD 8,959, along with a boomerang WPT trophy and valuable points toward both the Player of the Festival and Team of the Festival standings.
So far, 58 players have entered Day 1b of the WPT Championship Event, with no eliminations recorded through the opening two levels.
The field is now heading on its first 15-minute break of the day.

Matt SavageDay 1b of the AUD 5,000 WPT Australia Championship steps into the limelight today at 12:30 p.m. at The Star Sydney, with the second of three starting flights getting underway.
Day 1a attracted 185 entries, with 50 players making it through to Day 2. Shakti Chauhan finished the opening flight on top with 570,000, followed by Kacper Kumpiewski on 514,500 and Zheming Zhu with 493,500.
Players will once again begin with 50,000 chips and play 11 60-minute levels, with registration and unlimited re-entries available until the start of Level 10.
Day 1c will take place tomorrow at 12:30 p.m., before all survivors return for Day 2 on Sunday, September 27.
