Upeshka Da Silva folds on a board 6♦ A♥ 4♥ J♠ 5♥ with 78,000 in the middle after Kristopher Rundquist bets 40,000. Da Silva is down to just 11 bigs.

A scan of the field during the break turned up nine players with at least 250,000 in chips, plus one more knocking on the door to create an unofficial leaderboard:

Over on table 14, a larger preflop contest is brewing when Issam Fayad gets his stack into the middle for what appears to be more than 90,000. He is looked up by Kristopher Rundquist and vaults out of the chair when exposing his A♥ K♥ .

Rundquist also jumps up after exposing the A♥ Ah and retains a strong lead on the 9♥ 3♦ 2♠ flop. The 6♥ turn is about as sweaty as it can get, but there is no upset on a blank 3♠ river.

Akhilendra Singh limps from middle position for 600, and Yita Choong raises from middle position to 2,500. Kristopher Rundquist calls from the small blind, Alberto Morales Flores calls from the big blind, and Singh also calls.

All four players check to the turn on a board of 7♥ 6♣ 3♥ 5♠ , and Rundquist bets 2,200. Flores and Singh both call, and Choong folds.

The river card is the 4♠ , putting a seven-high straight on the board with no flush possibilities. Rundquist thinks for a while before he checks, and Flores bets 9,000. Singh and Rundquist both fold, and Flores takes the pot.

(We'll never know if he had an eight in his hand.)

In a single-raised pot with 500 preflop three ways, the flop shows 9♦ 8♠ 2♦ . Kristopher Rundquist bets 1,000 when checked to and Bas de Laat calls. Rolands Norietis then check-raises to 4,000 and Rundquist eventually folds, as does de Laat.

"Top top," Rundquist says and adds "it's possible he had an overpair".
