Sweden’s Daniel Skoglund and Vincent Joel Albert of France have gone all-in preflop with Skoglund being the player at risk.

The Swede tables 8♠ 8♦ while Albert has A♦ Q♦ .

The runout goes: K♥ 4♠ 7♣ K♠ 4♦ as Skoglund’s pocket pair manages to dodge all the outs of the Frenchman.

Skoglund nears the 200,000 chip mark with that double up but Albert’s stack drops to about 12,000 at the worst possible time in the competition.

In a battle of preflop raises, Chen Xinhong of China is all-in with A♠ K♣ while Daniel Skoglund of Sweden is dominated with A♦ Q♥ .

The runout had other ideas, however: 8♥ 7♣ 8♣ 2♦ 7♠ as both players are only playing the ace for a chop.

A late position raise from the hijack to 600 gets re-raised in the cutoff by Sweden’s Daniel Solberg Skoglund to 2,200 to which a cold call from the button comes from Mateusz Marek Stanielewicz of Poland. The original raiser exits.

It is heads up to the flop of T♥ 8♥ 6♦ as Skoglund opts to check. Stanielewicz takes the betting lead for 2,100. Skoglund makes the call. The turn is the 2♠ as the Swede checks anew. Stanielewicz continues firing, this time for 3,500 and is still called by Skoglund. The river is the K♦ as Skoglund checks a third time. The Polish player now makes it 6,000 to go and still gets called.

Stanielewicz shows A♠ K♣ for top pair on the river. A disgruntled Skoglund decides to muck.

After a UTG limper came in, Yakiv Syzganov of the Ukraine raises it from the +1 to 1,000 and gets re-raised in the HJ by Daniel Solberg Skoglund of Sweden to 3,000. The original limper folds and Syzganov makes the call.

The flop comes J♥ 6♠ 5♠ A♠ the Ukrainian checks. Skoglund bets 2,500 and is enough to take it down.
