Fresh off a runner up finish in the SHR Warm Up, Manuel Carvalho used the remaining afternoon to jump in the 8 Max Survivor $2K Bounty final heat, and come out with the lead, with a massive 830,000 stack onto Day 2.

Day 1C brought in an additional 154 entries, bringing the total attendance to 482 and the prize pool past its guarantee at $227,513. Twenty more survivors advanced to the next round, and are bound to join the 41 qualifiers already on the hunt. Carvalho ranks just below Day 1A chip leader Ankit Wadhawan across the overall order, followed by both Jordy Vleugels with 593,000, and Yiannis Liperis with 586,000, to round up the flight's top three counts.

Other players to keep an eye on include Amit Kaushik (493,000), Kyle Bao Diep (316,000), Martin Sedlak (147,000), and Ilya Firstov (91,000).

Ziad Zebib pushed his last 35,000 (3 BB) in the middle and faced Armon Van Wijk's suited broadways at showdown.

Flop J♥ J♦ 5♥ quickly left Zebib down to a runner runner, with runout 4♠ A♦ sealing the win for Van Wijk, and Zebib out as the day's stone cold bubble.

Mostafa Haidary flicked in his last 40,000 (3 BB) utg+1 and was called by Manuel Carvalho on the small blind.

In for a race, Haidary remained in his seat, having ran a straight on board K♠ 2♦ 5♦ 4♠ 3♣ to bank the win.

With a pot of 161,000 centered around board 5♥ 2♣ 4♣ K♠ 7♥ , river action between Ziad Zebib and Amit Kaushik saw both stacks rush to the middle - Kaushik at risk for his last 150,000.

Zebib showed Q♦ Q♥ , no good against Kaushik's set 5♠ 5♣ .

Philip Joyce open jammed 134,000 (11 BB) utg and was put at risk of a bubble elimination by Mostafa Haidary on the big blind.

Haidary dominated, failed to catch up on board J♠ 9♠ 4♥ 9♣ 6♦ , sending him plummeting down to four big blinds.

Fernando Borges open jammed 109,000 (9 BB) on the cutoff and was called by Armon Van Wijk on the small blind.

In danger of a bubble elimination, Borges dodged the bullet as his pocket pair held on board 8♣ 2♥ 6♣ 3♠ 7♥ .

The tournament clock has been paused with 21 players remaining seated across the Day 1C games. One more elimination is due before the flight wraps up, 20 survivors of which are guaranteed a payday.

Ran Koller open jammed 150,000 (15 BB) on the hijack and was looked up by Thor Morstoel on the big blind.

A crucial race, Morstoel banked $2K in bounty prizes straight to his pocket, having spiked top pair on board 9♣ 4♠ 7♥ K♣ 5♣ to deliver the bust.

Philip Joyce opened 35,000 utg+1 and called off for his remaining 17,000 after Amit Kaushik moved all-in.

Joyce at risk, secured the double up, having instantly landed a pair of kings on board K♣ 4♠ 2♥ 7♦ A♦ .

Back to back pots went in Manuel Carvalho's way, keeping him in the current lead with a healthy 69 big blind chip count.

Joseph Adams flicked in his last 37,500 (5 BB) utg+1, called by Paul Hofer on the cutoff. Kyle Bao Diep reshoved for 86,000 (11 BB), and Hofer put in the final call for a three way showdown.

Board A♣ T♥ K♦ 8♣ Q♠ kept Bao Diep ahead, earning him the boost as well as Adams' $2K bounty token.

Mostafa Haidary opened on the hijack and was priced in to call Ryan Plant's all-in for 67,000 (8 BB).

Plant in great shape, easily scooped the double up with two pair on board A♣ 2♦ 3♠ 8♦ 2♣ .

Huu Dung Nguyen put his tournament life on the line with T♥ T♠ and was crushed to see his opponent, Jordy Vleugels table K♥ K♣ .

Board K♠ 8♠ 4♥ J♥ 8♣ left no suspense on the table and sent Nguyen out in quick fashion.

Max Deveson risked his stack with pocket sevens right on the bounty bubble and faced Philip Joyce's ace-king for a flip. Board ran safe for Deveson's pocket pair, keeping him in the Day 1C running.

Khorshad Sagor open shoved 72,000 (9 BB) utg and was called by Patrik Demus on the button.

A pocket pair clash, Demus' better holdings kept ahead all through board K♣ K♥ T♦ 6♠ 7♦ , busting Sagor in the process.

Action is currently on bubble time with one more elimination to go before the knockout phase begins. $2K bounty tokens will be distributed once the field is down to 30 runners.

Joseph Sandaev stuffed his last 80,000 (10 BB) utg+1 and was looked up by Martin Sedlak on the button.

Board T♠ 7♠ 4♥ 9♣ T♣ ran dry for both, leaving Sedlak's better ace good for the takedown.

Aditya Sushant pushed 99,500 (12 BB) on the button and ran smack into Satac Turker's pocket kings on the big blind.

No ace arrived on board 5♦ 3♣ Q♣ Q♠ 2♦ , eliminating Sushant just as the knockout phase is about to begin.

Armon Van Wijk opened 19,000 on the cutoff and was met with a 49,000 three bet from Max Deveson on the big blind. Van Wijk made it 89,000 to go, and snap called for his remaining 134,500 after Deveson moved all-in.

Crushed against the rockets, Deveson found a glimmer of hope on the turn 8♣ 6♣ 3♥ 9♠ , but ultimately bricked out on river 2♣ , shipping Van Wijk the 57 big blind pot.

Joseph Sandaev opened utg and called Nazar Buhaiov's 31,000 (5 BB) all-in on the button.

Running a flip, Buhaiov bricked out on board 8♦ 4♥ 3♦ J♣ 6♠ , shipping Sandaev the pot with his set of sixes.

Yunsheng Sun opened 13,000 utg+1 and was met with a 35,000 three bet from Thor Morstoel on the button. Sun responded with an all-in, and Morstoel wasted no time getting away.

Khoa Anh Ngo gladly risked his last 95,000 (16 BB) preflop and faced Nazar Buhaiov for a pocket pair showdown.

A favorite to win, Ngo cruised to victory as board K♠ 2♦ 2♥ 8♠ 7♠ delivered no bad beats.

Thor Morstoel raised all-in on the small blind and saw Patrik Demus right behind, call off for his lesser 58,500 (10 BB).

Demus slightly ahead, was in trouble after Morstoel flopped top pair on T♦ 3♣ 5♣ . Lucky for him, the runout arrived 3♦ 9♣ , landing him the nut flush for the double up.

With a pot of 105,000 spread out across board 3♥ 7♣ T♣ 5♥ , Aladin Reskallah made an attempt for it with an all-in. Armon Van Wijk called off behind for his remaining 90,000 (18 BB) with A♣ 3♣ , and won the pot after Reskallah's A♥ 4♥ failed to improve on river 9♦ .

Abhishek Paul opened 12,000 utg and was joined by Manuel Carvalho two seats behind.

On board 5♦ Q♦ K♥ 9♠ , Paul check called two streets - 17,000 and 55,000, and arrived at showdown after Carvalho checked back river 2♣ .

Paul showed busted draw 8♦ 6♦ , leaving Carvalho's top pair K♣ 7♣ good for the win.

Yunsheng Sun opened 10,000 utg+1 and was called by Patrik Demus on the button.

On board J♥ T♣ 9♣ 3♠ , Sun double barreled - 17,000 and 45,000, leaving Demus unable to continue by the turn.

A limp pot blind vs blind dealt a flop of 2♦ 6♦ 3♠ . Fernando Borges checked to Ziad Zebib, who fired a bet of 5,000. Borges bumped it up to 18,500, and was called by his opponent.

On turn 5♠ , Borges surrendered after Zebib pulled another 32,500.

Philip Joyce opened mid position and went on to four bet jam his entire 106,000 (21 BB) against Jianfeng Sun's raise from the big blind. Sun gladly obliged, putting Joyce at risk.

At the brink of elimination, Joyce managed to pull through after the river 9♦ A♠ A♥ Q♠ 7♣ rolled one of his two outs to turn the tables.

Nikesh Chawla flicked in his last 34,000 (8 BB) utg+1 and saw Armon Van Wijk push likewise on the small blind.

Crushed against the cowboys, the queen high board Q♣ 5♣ 7♦ 3♣ 8♣ failed to save Chawla from elimination, leaving Van Wijk to claim the boost.

Khoa Anh Ngo open shoved 47,500 (12 BB) on the cutoff and was called by Aladin Reskallah a seat after.

In for a flip, Reskallah found none of his overcards appear on board 3♣ 4♠ 2♣ 7♥ A♣ , shipping Ngo the double up.

Kyosuke Nagami pushed all-in on the small blind for 34,500 (9 BB) and was looked up by Kyle Bao Diep right behind.

Nagami at risk, won the race as board K♠ K♣ 2♣ T♥ 3♦ rolled him trip kings to continue on.

Facing an open and a call, Joseph Sandaev squeezed all-in for 49,500 (12 BB) and saw Valenciano Toledano rise to the challenge.

Sandaev in great form, was left with no worries all through board A♦ 8♠ J♠ 8♦ Q♣ .

Thor Morstoel defended his big blind against Landerlijo Bereciartua's 8,000 hijack open, and faced a 7,000 cbet on flop A♥ 9♣ 2♣ . Morstoel responded with a check raise to 21,000, followed by an all-in on turn K♥ . Bereciartua snap folded against the shove, finding no reason to continue.

Today runs the final two flights for the $200,000 guaranteed 8 Max Survivor Event, with Day 1C slated in the evening lineup posting 25 minute levels from start to finish. Each $1,000 entry grants players a starting stack of 40,000 as they battle through the day for a spot into the final round.

Yesterday’s Day 1A saw 17 players survive the carnage, with Ankit Wadhawan leading the way. The Indian pro set an impressive bar, amassing a chip count of 970,000 onto Day 2, well ahead of second in position, Hyunkyou Park, who finished with a 495,000 stack.
