The last hand saw Ouyang move all-in with K♦ 5♦ , called by O’Dwyer with Q♦ J♥ . Running hot, Ouyang immediately flopped the nut flush, earning her the SHR victory for a career best cash of KRW 405,260,000, and an additional WPT High Roller Ring to boot.

In a blind battle, small blind Tang Tiayuan risked it all with A♣ 8♦ and was called by big blind Stephen O’Dwyer with T♠ T♦ . Gunning for an ace, the board K♠ 3♠ 2♠ 5♥ 3♦ spared none to knockout Tang completely.

Facing an open, small blind Phil Ivey shoved his last 1,000,000 with K♦ J♦ and was called behind by big blind Tang Tiayuan with K♥ K♣ . Up against a monster, Ivey crashed two spots short of the money after the board 6♠ 3♠ 4♠ 5♠ A♥ failed to save him from elimination.

A limp pot blind vs blind, action was seen on the turn Q♠ 2♦ 7♠ K♠ with 250,000 already in the middle. Small blind Tang Tiayuan pushed out a 130,000 bet, called by big blind Stephen O’Dwyer. River J♠ rolled another spade and saw Tang chuck out half his stack (320,000). O’Dwyer makes the final call and mucks after Tang reveals T♠ J♣ .

Utg+1 Tang Tiayuan opened to 115,000 with A♥ 5♥ and was met with a three bet to 380,000 from Leon Sturm. Tang answered with an all-in for 415,000, meriting a quick call from Sturm with A♦ Q♥ . Dominated, Tang luckily flopped a pair of fives on 9♠ 5♠ 4♥ 6♦ 8♣ to save him from elimination.

Espen Jorstad bubbled the final table after running into Leon Sturm’s A♠ A♥ with K♠ Q♠ on a queen high board. The final nine is set with Ouyang Jiali in the lead with 3.4 Million in chips.

Tang Tiayuan defended his big blind vs Park Christopher’s early open and saw flop J♥ 2♥ 7♠ . Park continued for 115,000, and another 120,000 on turn 2♣ with Tang check calling both streets. On the river 3♦ however, Tang gave it up after Park fired a final 400,000.

Following over seven hours of play, China’s Yu Lei capped the day with the lead, having bagged 1,247,000 (83BB) in chips to top the field. Yu cruised through the games after nearly doubling his stack right before the day’s first break, and consistently chipped up to lock in the lead. Fellow countryman Li Boyao is right on his tail with 1,134,000 (76BB), having bagged a huge double up by the last hour. 15 players continue on through to tomorrow’s Day 2 with registration open until the end of Level 12.

Toma churned out a raise to 100,000 and faced an all-in from Tang for his remaining 470,000. Toma makes the call with 7♣ 6♣ and is up against Tang’s A♠ Q♠ . Both with a draw, the turn 8♦ locked in a straight for Toma with the river 3♣ denying his opponent’s flush completely.

Button Tang Tiayuan opened to 20,000, joined by big blind Kobayashi Hirokszu on flop A♦ 5♣ J♥ . Tang continued for 10,000, check called by Kobayashi. Turn K♣ went check check, heading to river 8♠ . Checked to Tang once more, he fired 55,000, called by his opponent. Tang reveals K♥ 8♣ and collects the pot with his runner runner two pair.

Utg Tang Tiayuan opened to 6,500, called behind by Valeriy Pak. Flop came 6♠ T♠ 5♠ and saw Tang pull a check raise to 31,000 after Pak sent out a 12,000 bet. Pak completes, moving on to turn K♥ . Tang this time, leads for 55,000, Pak with a call. River 3♣ merited no more bets with Tang revealing 6♣ 6♦ for the pot.
