Hoang Thai Son was down to 11 bb but has staged a comeback and is now sitting with over a million. The biggest pot was against Nguyen Van Phu who had Qx Qx against Hoang’s Ax Jx . With Nguyen as the aggressor, laying a three-bet preflop, Hoang called then spiked the Ace on the flop. Nguyen c-bet then both checked the turn. On the river Jack, Hoang led out and Nguyen called.

NguyễN Văn Phương scored two back to back pots to rise to nearly a million in chips. He is now the race leader with 30 players remaining. The first pot he won was double up through Avneesh Munjal. On a board showing 9♦ T♠ 6♠ 3♣ and nearly 200,000 weighing down the middle, Nguyen bet 90,000 and Munjai tanked then check-called. On the river 5♦ , Munjal checked again, Nguyen moved all in for 190,000, Munjal called and paid Nguyen’s T♣ 9♠ two pair. Munjal had K♥ 9♥ second pair.
