Nguyen Duc Thanh opens hijack to 100,000 and Shim Hui Cong goes all in for 125,000 from the small. Big blind and Nguyen call and the see a paired flop of K♠ 5♦ K♦ . Nguyen Duc Thanh opens button to 100,000 and gets called by Nguyen Van Tung in the big. The flop is 5♥ 8♠ 3♦ and Van Tung check calls the c-bet of 90,000 from Duc Thanh. The turn 8♥ checks through and river comes 4♦ . Van Tung now leads for 200,000 and takes it down uncontested.

Zheng Anshu shoves cutoff for his tournament life and Nguyen Duc Thanh calls from the small blind with A♠ Q♣ . Zheng is ahead with 6♠ 6♣ but is instantly disappointed on the flop with a board of K♦ 2♠ Q♥ 3♥ 4♣ . And just like that, Zheng is the bubble boy.

Henri Hinds open shoves utg for his remaining one big blind stack and David Erquiaga three bets to 35,000 and hijack Nguyen Duc Thanh calls. They see a flop of 8♠ 6♠ 9♥ . Erquiaga bets again for 30,000 and Nguyen raises him to 85,000 and Erquiaga folds. Hinds shows A♥ 3♦ which is way behind Nguyen's 6♦ 6♣ for bottom set. The run out comes 9♦ 5♥ and Hinds gets busted out

Nguyen Duc Thanh opens utg+1 to 16,000 and is called by button and big blind Mike Takayama. They see a flop of A♥ 5♠ 9♦ and Nguyen c-bets for 18,000. Both players call and they go to the turn of 3♦. Nguyen keeps the pressure with half a pot sized bet of 55,000 and only Takayama comes along for the ride. The river is K♣ and Nguyen now shoves, putting Takayama at risk, but Takayama lays it down.

Mike Takayama shoves with Q♠ T♦ and Nguyen calls showing Q♣ 8♣ . The board comes T♣ 2♠ 2♣ 9♥ 2♦ and Takayama doubles up.

Cutoff raises to 5,000 before Mike Takayama shoves from the button for 75,500 and gets one caller from Nguyen Duc Thanh in the big. Takayama shoved with A♠ 5♣ and Nguyen called with the superior A♥ K♠ . The board runs in favoir of Takayama, coming 5♠ 8♠ J♥ 4♣ J♦ doubling the Filipino player.
