In a preflop war, the chips of Malaysia’s Heng Kai Perng go to the middle against former chip-leader Zheng Anshu of China as the cards are tabled.

Heng shows 8♦ 8♣ while Zheng has A♠ K♠ .

The first three community cards were safe for Heng: J♣ 4♦ 6♥ . However, the K♦ arrived on the turn and the river of the T♦ officially busts Heng from the competition in 11th place.

The action opens from UTG for 20,000 as Malaysia’s Heng Kai Perng makes the call from the HJ. At the D, chip-leader Zheng Anshu of China 3-bets to 65,000 and gets a 4-bet to 165,000 from Ukrainian Erik Rozhynskyi in the SB. Heng stuffs the remainder of his chips in—worth 69,000—as Zheng 5-bet jams. Rozhynskyi folds.

Heng shows A♠ A♥ and a disgruntled Zheng tables K♠ K♥ .

The runout goes: 7♦ J♦ 4♥ 3♣ A♦ for good measure.

Heng stays afloat while Zheng is somehow still the chip-leader in spite of multiple dents to his stack.

The action begins with a limp from the CO followed by an open shove for 94,000 from Vietnam’s Hoang Hai Nam in the SB. Heng Kai Perng of Malaysia makes the call from the BB as the original limper folds.

Hoang turns over A♠ 4♥ and is dominated by Heng’s A♦ J♥ .

The flop, however, proves fortuitous for the Vietnamese player: 5♥ 4♣ 9♣ as Hoang snares bottom pair. It will be enough as the last two community cards are the T♠ and the 4♦ as Hoang celebrates his miracle double up with trips.

Malaysia’s Heng Kai Perng limps from UTG and all players fold until it gets to Hoang Hai Nam of Vietnam in the BB and he chooses to check his option.

The flop is Q♣ K♦ 8♠ as Hoang checks. Heng leads out for 6,000 and gets called. The turn is the 5♥ and the Vietnamese player checks a second time. Heng makes it heftier as he fires 12,000 and still gets called. The river is the 8♥ as Hoang checks a third time. This time around, the Malaysian opts to check behind.

Hoang flips over 8♦ 7♣ for trips on the river. Heng throws his hand into the muck.

The actions begins from UTG where a raise to 10,000 I put in. Hoang Hai Nam of Vietnam calls from the D but then former chip-leader Heng Kai Perng of Malaysia goes over the top all-in for his remaining 74,000. The original raiser folds and Hoang makes the call.

Much to the Vietnamese player’s chagrin, Heng tables K♣ K♠ against his T♦ T♠ .

The eventual runout did nothing to help Hoang: 6♣ 5♥ 4♦ A♦ 3♠ as Heng doubles through and Hoang’s stack drops to below 200,000.

Vietnam’s Nguyen Ni open shoves from the D for his last 34,000 and gets called in the BB by Heng Kai Perng of Malaysia.

Nguyen shows J♦ T♣ while Heng is ahead with A♣ Q♠ .

The runout goes: 4♦ 2♠ 7♣ 3♥ A♦ as Nguyen’s elimination sends the competition to the stone bubble with only 19 players left.

Malaysia’s Heng Kai Perng opens from the D for 6,000 and gets a call from Erik Rozhynskyi of the Ukraine from the BB.

The flop comes A♥ 6♥ 2♣ as Rozhynskyi checks. Heng continues for 5,000 and gets called. The turn is the 5♣ and this time, it is the Ukrainian who leads out for 6,500. Heng calls. The river is the J♦ as now Rozhynskyi unloads for 18,000. The Malaysian still calls.

Rozhynskyi shows J♦ 6♦ for two pairs on the river while Heng chooses to muck.

The win by Rozhynskyi takes Heng out of the chipleader discussion for now.

The action is opened in the +2 position for 1,800 and gets called by chip leader Heng Kai Perng in the CO and Fendy of Australia on the D.

The flop shows 7♥ 8♦ 8♣ as it is checked to Fendy who leads out for 1,300. The original raiser folds but Heng calls. The turn is the 6♣ as Heng checks again. This time, Fendy bets 5,000 and is raised all-in. The Australian calls for his remaining 10,000 in chips.

Heng flips over 5♦ 4♦ for a straight on the turn while Fendy shows A♣ 8♥ for trips on the flop.

The river card is the 2♠ as Fendy busts and Heng gains more chips to put his stack over 180,000 and is still atop the leaderboard.

Heng wins with King high

Chip-leader Heng Kai Perng opens from the +1 position for 1,200 and get called in the HJ by Korea’s Hyong Yong Wu.

The flop shows J♣ 8♣ Q♦ as Heng checks. Hyong takes the betting lead by firing 2,500. Heng calls. The turn is the 7♦ and this time, both players check. The river is the 4♦ as Heng now bets 6,500. Hyong still makes the call.

Heng turns over K♦ T♥ for a missed straight draw. To his surprise, Hyong mucks.

Malaysia’s Heng Kai Perng raises in a battle of the Blinds to 1,500 while Mr Fendy of Australia defends his BB.

The flop is 6♥ 8♥ 2♠ as both players check. The turn is the K♦ as this time, Heng bets 1,000. Fendy calls. The river is the 9♣ and Heng now fires 2,500. Fendy makes the call.

Heng turns over K♣ Q♥ for top pair on the turn as Fendy mucks.

The Malaysian pads his lead and approaches the 150,000 chip mark.

The action starts when Alan Turabayev opens from UTG for 700 and gets three callers.

The flop comes 5♦ Q♥ J♣ as it is checked back to Turabayev who continues for 1,300. The caller in the +2 position folds, but the blinds stick around. The turn is the 8♠ and no action occurs. The river is the 2♣ and all three remaining players opt to check.

Malaysia’s Heng Kai Perng in the SB tables J♠ 9♠ for second pair on the flop. No one else shows their hole cards.

With the pick up, Heng is just under the 100,000 chip mark.

Heng Kai Perng of Malaysia opens from the HJ for 300 and gets called by Rolan Radzhari in the the CO. Then a player in the BB makes a 3-bet to 1,200 and gets called by both.

The flop is 3♠ 4♥ 9♣ as the player in the BB continues for 1,500 and gets called again by Heng and Radzhari. The turn is the J♦ as the BB bet goes up to 3,500. Heng still flats it. Radzhari raises to 9,000 ad the player in the BB 3-bet shoves for 21,700. The Malaysian suddenly 4-bet shoves and Radzhari makes the call.

The player in the BB shows K♦ K♣ while Heng tables 3♦ 3♥ for bottom set on the flop. Radzhari turned two pairs with J♥ 9♥ and needs to hit on the river.

The river card is the 6♠ which eliminates the player in the BB and dents Radzhari. Heng is now the early chip leader with over 70,000.

The action is folded to Vietnam’s Nguyen Quang Huy on the D and he raises to 3,000. In the SB, Heng Kai Perng of Malaysia makes a 3-bet shove for his last 19,500 and gets a quick call from Nguyen.

The Heng turns over J♣ T♠ which are live cards to Nguyen’s A♠ Q♣ .

The board completely misses Heng’s outs: 5♣ 9♣ 2♥ 7♠ 4♣ to give Nguyen the victory with Ace high and the overall chip lead with the triumph. Heng has been eliminated.
