TMT 17 NLH Master Day1A concluded with Zheng Xuan Cai taking the chip lead heading into Day2. With a total of 231 entries, the flight ran through 14 levels before the bubble burst. Out of the total number of entries, 35 players made it into Day 2 taking place 2 Wednesday, 15 January at 11:00.

Day 1A chip leader Zheng Xuan Cai had an intense journey filled with ups and downs. His journey to accumulate a massive stack of 884,000 [147 BB] began when he knocked out Gary Ma with top pair over a missed draw. To end the day, Zheng delivered the bubble, eliminating Jui Tai with a higher kicker.

Coming in second in chips was Taiwan’s Jun Zhong Wang with 526,000 [87BB]. In third was Jee Weon Kim of Korea with 477,000 [79BB] . Other notable players moving on to Day 2 were Philippines David Erquiaga, Germany’s Carsten Klug, and Wu Chiayun.

Jun Zhong Wang (UTG+2) raises 12,000 and David Erquiaga(CO) calls making way for the flop. K♥ A♥ T♥ . Zhong Wang bets 15,000 and Erquiaga calls to see the turn 4♥ . Zhong Wang bets 18,000 and Erquiaga responds with a raise of 43,000. The unexpected raise causes Zhong Wang to fold handing the pot to Erquiaga.

Jim Du (UTG) makes a pre-flop raise of 12,000 and Tsai Weilin (BB) calls to see the flop 2♥ 9♥ 4♠ . Weilin checks while Du bets 15,000. Weilin responds by raising 33,000 putting the pressure on Du. Jim Du folds as Tsai Weilin takes the pot.

Hao Hsiang Yeh shoved his 81,000 stack right on bubble time and was called by initial raiser Yuhsiu Chou.

In great form, Yeh landed a smooth path to victory on board 4♣ 2♦ 9♣ K♠ 9♠ back up to 29 big blinds.

At the brink of elimination just minutes ago, Lai Hsuan Yu was seen entangled in a big pot once more.

Lai opened utg+1 and went on to fourbet 55,000 against Leung Yiu Yeung's raise on the small blind. Leung completed, and check called two streets - 20,000 and 40,000, on board K♠ T♦ J♠ 6♠ . On river 7♣ , Lai checked back his straight A♥ Q♣ and shipped the pot as Leung showed A♠ T♥ .

Chang Che Jui raised all-in for his remaining 46,000 and was called behind by Jee Weon Kim. Jun Zhong Wang on the small blind, reshoved for 231,000 total and successfully isolated the short stack to showdown.

Two to the money, Chang couldn't escape his fate as his pocket pair failed to hold up on board J♥ 5♠ 3♦ 9♠ K♠ .

Lai Hsuan Yu committed his last 76,000 with 8♦ 8♥ on the small blind and ran right into Kai Hung Wang's nutted A♦ A♥ right behind.

At risk close to bubble time, Lai was in for a thrilling runout as the river J♦ 2♦ 3♦ 2♥ 8♣ gave him a full house at the last minute to continue on.

Chang Jun Kim opened to 20,000 on the button and saw Jee Weon Kim on the big blind come back for 60,000. Chang raised the stakes to 150,000, yet tank folded after Jee five bet jammed 263,000 in.

With pressure from the blinds continuing to increase, Yeh Yu Cheng is building up aggression preflop starting with a three bet from the small blind. Cheng found no callers and continued to open on the button the following hand. Cheng was met with no takers once more, and successfully added a total of 43,000 to his stack straight away.

Kim Kunwoo open jammed his last 62,000 and was looked up by Zheng Xuan Cai right on the big blind.

Running a flip, Zheng instantly landed the advantage on board 7♠ 8♥ J♦ 9♦ 2♣ , busting Kim in the process.

Klug gets saved by the flop giving him a pair of aces beating Chin Kai's pocket jacks.

An all-in preflop situation landed Shen Hao's entire 111,000 in the middle against Hung Chang Lin.

While a great spot for Shen, his premium pair was left in pieces after Hung landed a set on board T♥ 4♥ 9♣ Q♣ 5♠ to snag the win.

Chen Guan Lun opened to 10,000 and called 20,000 more following an all-in from Kim Kunwoo.

Jun Ki opened on the cutoff and called a 26,000 three bet from Leung Yiu Yeung right behind. On flop 9♣ T♥ 7♦ , Ki led all-in, called by Leung with top pair.

Kruezi bets 10,000 and BB check-folds while Klug check-raise 35,000. Kruezi call and the river brings A♣ .Klug checks while Kruezi bets 45,000. Klug calls and the players enter into showdown. Klug had K♦ Q♦ while Kruezi had T♦ T♣ . Klug hits diamonds flush and snatches the pot from Kruezi.

Lai Hsuan Yu opened 8,000 on the cutoff and was called by Hyundo Song and Leung Yiu Yeung on the big blind. On flop 2♣ Q♥ T♣ , Yu barreled another 8,000 and quickly collected the pot as both opponents folded.

Chi Jen Chen stuffed his last 32,000 against an open and saw Seokyoung Lee cold call on the big blind.

In for a flip, Chen managed to find a pair on board K♠ 4♣ 5♣ 9♥ T♠ , saving him from a potential elimination.

Seokyoung Lee opened to 8,500 utg and saw both players on the blinds complete. On board 7♠ 4♣ J♥ 6♠ T♥ , Lee fired all three streets - 5,000, 12,000, and 26,000. Shen Hao check called two bets yet gave it up after Lee demanded for more.

Hung Chang Lin opened to 9,000 and faced a 26,000 three bet from Hyundo Song on the small blind. Hung clapped back with an all-in for 110,000, which left Song unable to continue.

Koji Matsumoto (UTG) puts 8,500 in the pot pre-flop and Jonty O'Brien (SB) calls to see the flop 2♣ 9♣ A♣ . O'Brien checks and Matsumoto bets 12,500. O'Brien calls to see the turn 5♥ . Both players check and the river brings 6♠ . O'Brien checks again but Matsumoto piles up another bet of 25,000 causing O'Brien to fold.

Hu Chung I went with A♣ Q♦ for his last 79,000 and ran smack into Carsten Klug's K♠ K♦ .

In hope for an ace, the flop 4♥ K♥ 3♠ instantly crushed Hu's dreams with the runout 9♠ J♣ sealing his fate.

Liao Chin Kai (UTG) raised 8,000 pre-flop and Hsieh Yen Ting (UTG+2) three-bet 18,000 while Tse Chi Ho Kevin (BTN) four-bet 43,000. The sudden raise caused Chin Kai and Yen Ting to fold giving the pot to Kevin.

Weilin Tsai opened utg and saw both players on the blinds come along on flop 6♣ 9♦ 2♥ . Checked to Tsai, he continued for 10,000, called by the small blind. Denny Kruezi on the big blind, raised to 21,000, and saw only Tsai stick around onto turn T♦ . Kruezi fired another 20,000, followed with an all-in on river 5♦ . Tsai tank folded the final bet, shipping Kruezi the win.

Chen Kuan Ying (BTN) raises all-in pre-flop with 14,000. Lu Li Chiang (BB) calls and the players show their cards. Kuan Ying held A♣ J♥ and Li Chiang held A♦ 4♦ . The board ran 8♦ 5♠ 9♥ 3♦ 5♣ . Kuan Ying doubles up with the higher kicker Ace-Jack.

Koji Matsumoto opened on the button with A♥ K♣ and called the big blind's jam for 39,000. Player at risk showed A♠ 9♥ , and headed out as board rolled K♥ K♦ Q♥ 5♥ 6♥ .

On the next hand, Matsumoto shoved against Yuhan Su's open and saw the latter call off for his 81,000 stack. Matsumoto this time, behind with A♥ K♣ against Su's K♦ K♥ , kept his momentum on board 3♣ T♣ 8♣ 6♣ 5♣ , running all clubs to crack his opponent's kings.

Lu Li Chiang (UTG) raises 6,500 pre-flop. UTG, BTN, Chen Kuan Ying (SB) and BB call to see the flop J♦ 9♠ T♠ . Ying bets 27,000 on the flop. The big bet causes BB to fold while Li Chiang calls. UTG+2 and BTN fold. The turn brings 5♣ and Ying bets 28,000 putting Chiang all in and Li Chiang calls all-in with 25,000 and the players show their hands. Li Chiang had Q♠ K♠ while Ying held 4♠ A♠ . The river brings K♣ . Lu Li Chiang wins with straight on the flop.

David Erquiaga (UTG+2) makes a pre-flop raise of 6,500 and Chen (HJ) calls while Zhe Cheng Zheng (CO) three-bets 27,000. The pot thickens causing Erquiaga to four-bet all-in 113,500. The enormous bet causes both Chen and Zheng to fold.

Shen Hao opened 7,000 on the cutoff and called Yuhan Su's all-in for 36,500 total.

In search of an ace, the board 6♦ 2♣ J♣ 2♦ Q♠ felted none, shipping Su the double up.

Chih Wei Fan opened 7,000 utg and went on to four bet jam his entire 75,000 against Yu Jui Chen's raise behind.

Chen with a premium hand, put in the call and sent his opponent out shortly with ace-high as the board 3♣ T♠ 2♣ 9♥ 2♠ missed to pair either player.

Seiji Hamajima pushed his remaining 50,500 on the cutoff and was challenged by Hao Hsiang Yeh on the small blind.

Looking to pair up, Hamajima failed to connect with board 8♥ 4♥ K♣ 5♦ J♦ , ending his run at today's NLH Master flight A.

Lu Li Chiang flicked in his last 20,000 and was called by both Chih Wei Fan and David Erquiaga. Both checked flop 9♠ 7♦ 3♠ through to turn 9♥ , where Erquiaga led 25,000. Chih made the call but folded on river Q♠ after Erquiaga pulled another 17,000.

Chiang showed K♣ K♥ for the main pot while the side pot went to Erquiaga with A♥ Q♠ .

Kim Enriquez opened 6,000 utg and was joined by Wang Tuck Heng on the button. Enriquez continued for 7,000 on flop 4♣ 3♣ 2♠ , and went for another 20,000 on turn 4♠ . Wang called the initial street yet surrendered after Enriquez proceeded with aggression.

Carsten Klug opened 7,000 on the hijack and was met with a 17,000 three bet from Tae Chi Ho a seat after. Klug came back with an all-in for 74,000, enough to convince Tae to lay it down.

Player on the cutoff open shoved his last 36,500 in and saw Charlie Chiu on the button push to isolate for a bigger 63,500. All else folded and the two ran the board 4♠ T♦ 4♣ A♣ 5♦ .

Chiu's kicker ran in play, eliminating one out of the running.

Seiji Hamajima pushed his last 26,000 on the small blind and was looked up by Woojin Kang right behind.

At risk, Hamajima escaped elimination, having spiked two pair on board 2♦ 6♦ T♥ 5♠ 6♣ to survive through.

With an open and a call in front, Yuhsiu Chou sent out a 20,000 three bet and faced a fourbet shove from Sung Chiwen behind. Chou called off for his entire 135,000 with A♠ K♣ and was up against his opponent's 2♠ 3♣ .

Board K♦ Q♥ 5♥ 5♠ 8♥ instantly fell in favor of Chou, earning him the 112 big blind pot straight away.

Hong Yu Huang opened to 6,500, called behind by David Erquiaga along with the big blind. Action on board A♠ T♦ T♥ 4♣ 3♣ saw Erquiaga bet all three streets - 10,000, 15,000, and 25,000, with Hong check calling all the way to showdown. Erquiaga turned over trip tens K♠ T♠ and claimed the boost.

Jui Tai opened utg+1 and happily called off Beng Ker's 44,000 all-in behind.

Ziad Zebib opened 5,000 on the small blind, called behind by Yeh Yu Cheng. Zebib continued for 4,000 on flop 7♥ 4♥ T♣ but folded after Yeh raised to 13,000. Yeh showed two pair T♦ 7♦ as he raked in the pot.

Tse Chi Ho completed his big blind vs Yuhsiu Chou's utg open and headed to flop 2♥ Q♥ 2♣ . Both checked it through to turn 6♣ , where Tse led for 3,500. Chou bumped it up to 8,000, and bet a final 10,000 on river T♣ . Tse called both streets and shipped the pot with a flush J♣ 3♣ , sending Chou's A♠ A♣ towards the muck.

UTG+1 raises 5,500 pre-flop and Charlie Chiu (BB) calls to see the flop 10d 3♥ A♦ . Chiu checks while UTG+1 c-bets 4,000 and Chiu calls to see the turn 9♦ . The players check bring the river 6♦ to the board. The players check and showdown. Chiu held T♣ J♥ while the opponent mucks his hand.

Yoon Sehoon (HJ) raises All-in 22,000 with A♣ K♣ while Kai Hung Wang (SB) calls with 9♥ 9♠ . The board ran T♠ J♦ K♥ 6♣ 4♦ . Sehoon beats Wang's pocket nines with a king on the board.

Jun Hyoung (UTG+1) crises 3,000 before the flop and Sin Ren Chen (BB) calls to see the flop. 5♠ 3♠ J♣ appear on the board. The players check and 6♣ arrives on the turn with another round of checks the players witness the river 2♦ . Sin Ren Chen bets 3,000 and Hyoung raises to 12,000 prompting Chen to fold. Hyoung takes the pot with aggressive bets.

Facing an open and a call, Shawn Chan Rong Jie on the big blind shoved all-in for 34,000 and saw both opponents Shen Hao and Kai Hung Hu (76,500) push likewise.

Player from MP open shoves 12,000 and Wang Zhi Yu (HJ) three-bets go all-in pre-flop. The intensity reached electrifying heights when the players revealed their cards. UTG+3 held K♦ J♦ while Zhi Yu held A♣ A♦ . The board ran 8♠ 7♣ 4♦ 4♠ 9♦ . Zhi Yu's pocket rockets gives him two-pairs of aces and fours for the win.

A preflop back and forth between Hessaum Sadri and Hon Cheong Lee saw the latter risk his entire 50,300 with A♠ K♣ . Sadri with A♥ A♣ , cruised to victory on board Q♥ T♣ 7♦ 6♣ Q♣ , sending his opponent out in quick fashion.

Hsieh Yen Ting (CO) commits all-in pre-flop with 23,000 and Guan Lun Chen (BTN) calls all-in with 16,200. The hands are revealed with Ting holding K♠ J♠ while Chen held T♦ A♠ . The board ran 6♦ 6♣ 3♠ A♣ 4♣ . Guan Lun Chen wins with a pair of aces.

Zhe Cheng Zheng opened to 2,400 utg and was called by two players behind. Action on flop 2♥ 4♥ T♣ was checked to Wei Jen Wang, who bet 10,000. Zhe bumped it up to 21,000 and called for his remaining 39,400 after Wei moved all-in.

Seiji Hamajima (HJ) puts 2,400 into the pot pre-flop while Gary Ma (Button) adds on another 6,500 to the pot with a three-bet. The back and forth betting battle continued as Hamajima four-bets all-in and the determined Gary Ma calls. The players showdown with Ma having K♣ K♦ while Hamajima held 8♠ 8♦ . The board ran Q♦ Q♣ 6♦ 3♦ J♥ . Ma's pocket Kings form two pairs with the queens on the board giving him the win.

Cheng Hao Che (SB) raises 2,500 preflop and Chen Yunting (BB) three-bets all-in with 14,900. Che calls the all in and the two players revealed their hand. Che shows K♦ K♠ while Yunting shows T♥ T♣ . UTG raised pre-flop 2,400 and Howard Huang (HJ) calls leaving room for Chiayun Wu (CO) to three-bet 9,000. The increasing pressure causes UTG to fold early. Huang however, reacted in the complete opposite way and fourbets all-in 40,000 fattening up the pot. Wu calls the all-in with 30,000. The players enter showdown early on. Huang had Q♠ A♦ while Wu had 8♥ T♠ . The board brought 2♥ J♥ 5♣ 6♠ 3♥. Huang's Ace high card wins the pot.

CO raised 2,500 pre-flop and Seiji Hamajima (Button) called and so did Wang Zhi Yu (BB). The players eagerly await the flop and rhe board read 3♥ 6♥ 9♥, intensifying the the game. Zhi Yu bets 3,400 and CO folds under pressure while Seiji calls to see the turn A♠ . Zhi Yu check on the turn and Seiji takes the opportunity to turn the tables and bets 6,400 and Zhi Yu calls. The river brings 6♦ . In a gripping moment , Seiji went all-in with a towering stack of 40,500 forcing Wang Zhi Yu to a make a tough decision and eventually he folds.

Facing a late position open and a call, Jun Ki on the big blind sent out a three bet to 9,000 and saw both opponents continue to flop T♦ 7♥ 9♣ . Ki led for 11,000, followed by two all-ins - Fan Cho Ho (33,800) and Sin Ren Chen (14,500). Ki called off the remaining for a three way showdown.
