TLPT MAIN EVENT 15K (SHR) - 8 HANDED ($15,000)

The Lord Poker Tournament SHR $15,000 Main Event Day 1 with a guaranteed prize pool of a whopping $3,000,000 attracted 122 players and 58 bagged chips for tomorrow.

The late registration was pushed back to level 14 tomorrow for anyone who is still looking to make history by becoming the inaugural champion.

Poker Dream 15 and 17 High Roller Champ Haohui Ma topped the leaderboard after scooping a huge pot against then chip leader Jumiao She, getting three streets of value from a flopped top set of tens for a net gain of over 700,000. He will start Day 2 with 1,363,000 (136BB).

Nguyen Quang Minh - APT Taipei Super High Roller Champ for $283,854 three weeks ago - finished in a close 2nd with 1,276,000 (127BB) and third in chips Yunkyu Song - WPT Season 22 Player Of The Year - has 1,115,000 (111BB) to his name.

Other notables left in the running are bracelet winners Dominik Nietsche, Yinan Zhou, Mao Renji, Lei Yu, Calvin Lee, Ami Barer, Dong Chen and a flurry of high stakes players from all around the globe.

With a 16,000 raise and a call in front, hijack Jumiao She three-bets 50,000 and only Haohui Ma fills up from +1 which takes us to the flop 2♠ 3♣ T♠ that has Ma check-raise 130,000 into She's 55,000 c-bet. She calls, does so again for 175,000 on the turn 7♠ and another time for 315,000 on the river 5♣ where she mucks after Ma tabled T♥ T♣ .

The hijack puts 16,000 over the line and takes three fellow players to the flop A♦ 7♦ 3♠ where small blind Kaihua Liu donks 27,000 and only Dong Chen - another bracelet winner - pays up to see the turn 8♦ . Another 70,000 from Liu ends the hand.

Song gets out-flopped on Q♥ J♣ 9♠ , but still has six out, none of which materialize on the turn 2♥ and river Q♣ , sending today's 7th place finisher in the Circuit Main Event to the rail.

Pan Wang leads 16,000 from +1, the hijack flats and small blind Jiaming Zhao squeezes to 80,000. Wang ups it further to 230,000 and the hijack gets out of the way before Zhao jams 810,000. Wang thinks for a bit, but finds a fold, losing a time bank in the process.

Under the gun Renji Mao opens 16,000 and fills up after Zhengpeng Liu made it 54,000 from +1 to see the flop Q♠ J♥ 7♣ where Mao check-calls a 40,000 c-bet for the turn 2♦ to get checked to the river 8♣ . Liu leads 110,000, Mao check-jams 412,000 and Liu goes in the tank. After three time banks he emerges with a call with A♠ A♣ , but has to surrender the pot to Mao's Q♦ Q♥ set.

No high cards on 4♠ 4♦ 8♥ 9♥ 7♥ has the Jungleman exit once more.

Under the gun Haobin Wang wants 16,000 and finds two bracelet winners who oblige. He continues for 25,000 on 9♦ J♣ 4♦ and only big blind Ami Barer fills up to see the turn T♠ that gets checked for a free T♣ river. Barer takes the lead for 15,000, Wang raises to 45,000, but let's it go when the Canadian puts another 171,000 into the middle.

Hijack Supeng Pang leads 12,000 and finds two callers before big blind Quan Zhou squeezes to 70,000. Pang is the sole caller for the flop 8♣ A♦ 9♦ where Zhou continues for 40,000, Pang raises to 80,000 and Zhou counters with another raise to 140,000. Pang needs two time banks before electing to call, but folds on the turn 4♦ after Zhou fired another 150,000.

Skiing uphill after the flop J♠ 2♠ K♦ , Zhang can't catch a lift on J♣ 6♥ and vacates his seat.

Gavin is fishing for 6 outs, but cant catch any of them when the board completes Q♦ and 3♠ which leaves him with 13 big blinds.

Small blind Mauricio Sanches - fresh from two high roller victories at the APPT Cambodia last week - limps his small blind and Luobo checks to see the flop 2♣ K♣ 5♣ . Sanches triple barrels 13,000, 24,000 and 54,000 to the river 7♠ and 4♦ before Luobo puts him all-in with queen-high Q♣ 8♥ . Sanches calls his flopped flush 3♣ 7♣ for a total of 189,000 and propels up the ladder.

The river J♦ seals Thompson's fate, but this wont be the last time we hear from him.

Hijack Ivan Zhang lays out 10,000 and takes two compadres to the flop 6♥ T♥ 7♣ where his 35,000 c-bet gets called by both. Zhang jams 213,500 on the turn K♣ and finds no takers with big blind Bin Leng showing the 5♥ for fun.

Under the gun limps, button Jun Liu makes it 21,000 and small blind Haohui Ma pumps it further to 55,000. Only Liu fills up to see the flop T♥ 9♦ 6♠ before folding to a jam from Ma.

No one outer for Du on the river 3♥ sends him packing.

We get to the table with the board showing A♥ T♦ 3♠ 2♣ and 230,000 in the pot. Jiaming Zhao has 220,000 in the middle from +1 and cutoff Pan Wang declared all-in for 749,000. Three time banks already used and another ready to go, Zhao folds, showing the A♣ which prompts Wang to show the K♣ before he scoops the massive pot.

Catching the action on the turn J♦ 4♠ J♠ 8♦ and 56,000 up for grabs we see Dan Cates lead 25,000 before filling up Yu Zhao's 65,000 raise from the button. Zhao wagers her last 50,000 and Cates lets it go.

The board runs A♠ 8♥ 6♦ J♥ 2♠ , keeping Thompson's kicker in play for a double up.

James Mendoza - 5th at the APT Taipei Superstar Challenge for $94K two weeks ago - min-opens and big blind Daniel Cates defends to see the flop J♥ 2♠ 7♠ . Mendoza triple barrels 8,000, 17,000 and 22,000 to the river Q♠ K♣ and Cates check-calls all the way and mucks after watching Mendoza flip over K♥ K♦ .

Digging for two outs, Weijue Cai strikes gold right away on 9♠ T♣ Q♦ 6♠ T♥ for more than a double up.

The flop 7♦ 5♠ 3♦ gives Yuan a freeroll for all the biscuits and gets there when the board completes 7♣ and 5♦ , breaking the tie and sparing the dealer from counting the chips.

Qian Xiong limps from under the gun and takes three customers to the flop 7♥ 6♠ J♦ where she leads 5,000 and only big blind Yunkyu Song check-calls to see the turn A♠ . Another 15,000 gets called by Song to the river Q♦ where he snap-calls a third barrel of 30,000 with two-pair Q♥ J♣ but has to surrender to Xiong's A♦ A♥ set.

Under the gun Jieming Xu leads 6,000 and takes button Taylor Black to the flop 3♦ 7♥ Q♦ where his 10,000 c-bet finds another call for the turn 7♦ to hit the felt. A second barrel of 30,000 gets the job done for Xu.

The turn 2♥ seals Liu's fate and makes the river Q♦ just a formality.

The $3,000,000 guaranteed TLPT SHR Main Event has currently 66 out of 77 players remaining and late registration will be open until the start of Day 2 tomorrow at 13:00 local.
