Jong Hoon Lee Busts Yoonseok Choi to Set Up Day 1a Bubble

Level 15: 3,000 / 5,000 ante: 5,000

On an ace-high flop, Yoonseok Choi got his above-average stack into the middle against Jong Hoon Lee, one of only two players who had him covered at their table. Lee was ahead with bottom set against the top two pair and kept the lead to cement his status as current chip leader.

Play now continues hand-for-hand with two minutes deducted off the clock.

Tae Wook Kang Bets Two Streets

Level 13: 2,000 / 3,000 ante: 3,000

Tae Wook Kang raised to 7,000 and was called by Yoonseok Choi as well as Chunjong Park, the latter of which defended the big blind. Only Park check-called for 11,000 on the 7 2 2 flop when Kang continued, then checked the A turn. Kang made it 16,000 to go and won the pot.

Yejin Kim Eliminated by Sumin Leem

Level 13: 2,000 / 3,000 ante: 3,000

Down to just 11,000, Yejin Kim jammed from under the gun. She was called by Yoonseok Choi on the button and Sumin Leem in the big blind. Both active players checked down the T T 8 7 5 board and Choi exposed Q 9 . Leem had 6 4 for a straight and the A 6 of Kim were no good.

Yoonseok Choi Knocks Out Dongmin Kim

Level 11: 1,000 / 2,000 ante: 2,000

Moments after Mayuko Takata had lost her last couple of big blinds, a far bigger pot unfolded one table over. On the A 8 7 7 turn, Yoonseok Choi bet 20,000 in the small blind. Dongmin Kim then jammed for 42,500 on the button and Choi reluctantly called.

Kim's K 4 needed another heart as Choi was ahead with the A 2 . Instead, the river brought the A and that sent Kim to the rail, too.

The Rich Get Richer

Level 9: 600 / 1,200 ante: 1,200

On the river of a 5 4 4 T J board, a medium-sized stack got it in with the K T for tens up and was quickly looked up by the current big stack Yoonseok Choi. The latter showed A J for superior two pair and earned another very healthy pot.

Choi on Choi Battle Brings New Chip Leader

Level 9: 600 / 1,200 ante: 1,200

With plenty of chips in the middle to the J 8 2 flop, Baek Jin Choi bet 25,000 and then called all-in for 53,200 when Yoonseok Choi raised. The bigger stacked Choi was ahead with 8 8 for a set as he was up against K K for the overpair.

Nothing changed on the J turn and 7 river to create a new chip leader on Day 1a.
