Record Breaking Okada Manila Millions Final Table Set With Joshua Figuerres Leading The Final Nine

The Okada Manila Millions has made history, drawing a record-breaking 2,387 entries. With a buy-in of PHP 8,000 (~USD 130), the initial PHP 6,000,000 guarantee was more than doubled, resulting in a total prize pool of PHP 16,300,346 (~USD 264,535).

The final table is now set, with Joshua Figuerres leading the remaining nine players with 13,125,000 in chips. Figuerres earned a huge boost late in the day after winning a pivotal 11-million-chip flip, where his pocket nines held against the ace-queen suited of Nikhil Gupta.

Figuerres enters the final day with significant momentum and a proven track record. He recently secured his largest career payout at the Macau Poker Open, taking home $244,510, and will now look to add an Okada Manila title to his resume.

Despite the loss in that massive pot, Gutta demonstrated resilience, recovering over the final levels to bag the second-largest stack with 10,375,000. Gutta remains a primary threat as one of only three players to cross the 10-million-chip threshold.

Rounding out the three players above the 10-million mark is Kim Enriquez, who bagged 10,050,000. Enriquez was a consistent force throughout Day 2, holding the chip lead at every scheduled break and maintaining a dominant presence at his table.

One of his most significant hands of the day occurred when he eliminated Sung Choun Joon. Enriquez picked up pocket Aces against Joon’s Ace-Queen, winning a four-million-chip pot that helped cement his status as a top contender.

Enriquez is no stranger to deep runs in Manila. In August 2025, he recorded his largest career score at the APPT Manila Main Event, finishing in 4th place for PHP 5,100,000 (~$88,345). After narrowly missing out on the podium last year, he now enters the final table as one of only three players with an eight-figure stack, looking to secure his first major Okada Manila Millions title.

Day 2 Action

The Day 2 field shrank fast, with half of the players gone by the first break. Among those who started were Paul Pak, Jackson Jackson, and Joseroy Jeremias, who each managed to qualify twice.

It was a tough day for some of the biggest names in the game. Mike Takayama, ranked #1 on the Philippines all-time money list, was knocked out early in 233rd place. Other champions followed, including APPT Manila 2025 Main Event and Red Dragon winner Justin Ong (200th), as well as Manila Megastack champions Marvin Cerbito (176th) and Edilberto Gopez (131st).

Even the man who started the day as the chip leader, Vamerdino Magsakay, had a bad run and finished in 76th place.

Day 2 Highlights

Day 2 was marked by several big hands that changed the course of the tournament. One of the most notable was a three-way all-in before the flop with Aces, Kings, and Queens. Carmelo Tutay Jr. held the Queens and flopped a set, which held up to knock out both of the other players.

Another big hand involved a four-way all-in between Kiril Gelev, Akihiro Kawaguchi, Adrian Jayme, and Howard Doerfling. Doerfling had the best hand preflop and covered all three players. While he stayed ahead on the flop, the turn gave Gelev trips with what had been the weakest starting hand.

The river gave Gelev a full house for a quadruple up. Even though Gelev won the main pot, Doerfling’s Aces won a large side pot, resulting in the exit of both Kawaguchi and Jayme.

Sungmoon You also had an unusual run where he hit quads twice. Down to the final three tables, he flopped quad sevens to double up against Doerfling. Later, he survived a three-way all-in by hitting quads again on the turn. These hands helped him reach the final table with a stack of 2,375,000.

Final Two Tables Elimination

The action on the final two tables moved quickly as the field narrowed to the final nine. Remedios Flores, the last woman in the field, was the first to exit in sixteenth place. She was followed by Tutay, who finished in fifteenth place after losing most of his chips in a flip.

Cheng Jing Lim was eliminated in fourteenth place when his Ace-Queen failed to improve against Gutta’s Ace-King, and Emmanuel Segismundo took thirteenth place after his Ace-Jack ran into Kevin Mateo’s Ace-King.

Play slowed down briefly with 12 players left, but the pace picked up again during a notable hand between Christopher Pasion and Gutta. Pasion was behind before the flop hit a straight on the board. Gutta, however, caught a six on the river to make a higher straight, sending Pasion out in twelfth place. Minsu Kim was the next to go in eleventh place after running into Mateo’s pocket Aces.

The final table was set when Gelev was eliminated in tenth place. Gelev was all-in with pocket Jacks against Ko Tanaka’s pocket Sixes, but Tanaka hit one of his two outs on the turn to eliminate Gelev.
