During the late stages, young gun Rene Mar David surged to the top of the counts and proceeded to use his big stack to eliminated Paul Zehetleitner on the bubble. Calling a three-bet shove with J♥ T♠ , David outdrew Zehetleitner's A♣ 8♦ on a board running 5♣ 6♦ T♦ 2♦ 9♣ . David bagged up 539,000 to slide to the top of the Day 2 counts. Also closing the heat with a very healthy stack was Francis Ancheta bagging 410,000. Ancheta earned a portion of his stack by shoving on a board J♠ T♥ 7♣ A♦ 6♠ with K♥ Q♣ straight that wasn't called.
