Okada Millions (8,000 PHP)

The sixth entry flight of Okada Millions wrapped up 31 survivors determined out of the 269 total entries. Local player Edgar Asehan bagged the lead of 659,000 which was much larger than his first stack of 71,000 which will be removed from play coming Day 2. At Asehan's heels was Ho-Tai Tsai who enjoyed a rush with back to back aces both getting value with knockouts. Tsai finished the flight with 623,000.

The Okada Millions resumes Day 2 at 1pm on Sunday, April 13, 2025. The prize pool has settled at PHP 11.1 Million (~US$ 196K) which set a new benchmark for this popular low-stakes event.

Getting aces once and getting value is sweet and even sweeter when it happens back to back. The lucky player was Ho Tai Tsai who just railed a player and did the same to Jerick Medina with A♣ A♦ well ahead of Medina's A♥ J♠ on a board 6♦ 2♦ 6♠ 5♥ T♣ .

Ho Tai Tsai gets dealt A♥ A♦ and raises 25,000. Big blind Paul Zehetleitner three-bets all in for 97,000 sending the action back to Tsai who snap-calls. Zehetleitner has K♠ J♠ which doesn't improve on the board 8♣ T♣ 6♦ Q♦ 7♦ for Tsai to double up.

Jerick Medina raises 9000 and Ho-Tai Tsai flats from the button. At the flop T♣ K♠ T♥ , Medina continues for 5000, Tsai raises 15,000, this time it's Medina who flats then both check the turn J♥ . On the river Q♣ , Tsai jumps out for 50,000, Medina tanks for some time then calls. Tsai shows the straight and wins the pot.

Three players in for 5000 each see a flop 6♥ 4♦ 3♦ where Paul Zehetleitner leads out 11,500 from the big blind resulting in one player to fold while Ho-Tai Tsai tanks then raises 26,000. Zehetleitner goes over the top with a jam of 101,500, that well covers Tsai who calls for everything behind.

Tsai shows 5♥ 6♣ top pair open ended, Zehetleitner with A♦ K♦ flush draw, the turn 4♥ and river 3♣ keep the Tsai's pair ahead to ship a double.
