Japan’s Katsuhito Kawai opens from the +1 position for 800 and it folds to the HJ where another Japanese player in Ko Okubo 3-bets it to 2,200. A third Japanese player in Tomoya Takamori makes the call from the D while Kawai also joins in.

The flop is A♦ 8♠ Q♥ as it is checked to Takamori who takes over the betting lead for 4,000. Kawai folds but Okubo calls. It is now Heads-Up to the turn which produces the Q♣ . Takamori goes all-in and Okubo thinks awhile before folding, showing the A♠ .

Korea’s Choi Sungdong opens from the LJ for 600 and gets called by Ko Okubo of Japan on the D. However, another Japanese player in Takamori Tomoya fires a 3-bet of 1,800 and gets the call from both of his foes.

The flop goes 2♣ 6♦ T♠ as Tomoya continues for 2,500 as Choi makes the call but Okubo goes all-in for his last 17,700. Tomoya re-raises all-in and it gets the Korean to fold.

Okubo tables T♣ 6♣ for top two pairs on the flop while Tomoya shows J♠ J♥ for an over-pair to the board. The last two community cards are the 5♣ and the 4♠ as Tomoya’s stack takes a grave hit.
