The action folds to the D where the Philippines’ Jose Cheung raises it up to 5,500 and it gets to the BB of Hsiao Tsui-Han and she declares she is all-in for her remaining stack of 29,000. Cheung makes the call.

Hsiao tables A♦ 6♠ and is ahead of the Filipino’s A♣ 4♣ but many chop outs abound.

The flop instantly puts Cheung ahead: K♣ 4♠ 7♥ and the last two community cards are the 5♥ (for an open-ended straight redraw) and the 4♦ to give Cheung trips and oust the lady player from Taiwan.

Matthew Chadwick of the United States limps in from the +1 position and successfully makes it an unraised pot as Taiwan’s Hsiao Tsui-Hein completes his SB and the BB checks.

The flop is 6♠ J♣ Q♥ as the blinds check and Chadwick comes to life as he bets 3,000. Hsiao makes the call and the BB folds. It is now Heads-Up to the turn where 6♦ arrives. The Taiwanese player checks again as this time, Chadwick fires 5,000 into the pot. Hsiao still makes the call. The river is the 5♣ as now the American makes it 10,000 to go. Hsiao calls for the third and final time.

Chadwick is first to show and tables K♦ T♥ for a missed open-ended straight draw while Hsiao unveils J♥ 4♠ for second pair on the flop that called all the way to the river.
