With a pot of 20,000 and a flop of 5♠ 5♣ 9♠ , the Philippines’ Jun Talosig checks his option from the LJ as does Canada’s Claude Henoud from the CO.

The turn is the 8♠ as Talosig bets 6,000 and gets called by Henoud. The river is the A♠ as the third spade on the board makes both players slow down and check.

Talosig flips over 7♣ 6♣ for a straight on the turn while Henoud shows A♦ J♥ for top pair on the river. Both players were wary of each other and the Canadian lost the minimum in this hand, although his stack is still smarting from the hit.

The action is opened by Guam’s Joshua Chargualaf from the +1 position for 300 and gets a call from Claude Henoud of Canada from the HJ. It folds to the BB where Korea’s Choi Jihun 3-bets the pair to 900. Both call.

The flop goes T♠ T♥ 4♥ as Choi CBets for 2,000. Chargualaf folds but Henoud makes the call. It is now Heads-Up to the turn which brings in the 2♦ as the Korean fires again, this time for 6,100. Henoud then proceeds to go over the top all-in. Choi folds as the Canadian scoops it.

In early action, Canada’s Claude Henoud opens from the HJ for 600 and gets re-raised in the SB Choi Jihun of Korea to 3,100. It folds back to Henoud who calls.

The flop comes 7♥ 6♦ T♣ as Choi continues for 1,600. Henoud calls. The turn is the J♠ as now the Korean makes it 5,000 to go. Henoud still sticks around. The river is the T♦ and this time, both players check.

The Canadian shows 8♣ 8♦ as Choi mucks.
