The flop immediately makes it difficult climb out of the hole for the Chinese player: 2♠ 8♦ J♦ but the arrival of the Q♥ on the turn gives Ye a gutshot Broadway redraw. It doesn’t happen as the river card is the 2♣ giving Marcos a full house and completing the annihilation of Ye as the Final Table is now known.

Everyone in the Final Table is now guaranteed PhP236,589 (~US$4,210) and also an APPT Super Qualifier seat worth PhP9,000 (~US$160).

Eugenio Bestil of the Philippines open shoves from UTG for his last 910,000 and gets called on the D by China’s Ye Kejie.

Bestil shows 6♥ 6♠ which is in a coin-flip against Ye’s A♠ T♥ .

The runout goes J♣ 8♣ K♠ 2♠ 5♦ as the Filipino avoids all of his opponent’s outs en route to the double up that keeps him in the competition.

The action gets folded to the CO where The Philippines’ Czar Ian Marcos raises it up to 265,000 and gets two callers in Ye Kejie of China on the D and the Netherlands’ Germ de Haas in the BB.

The flop comes 7♦ A♥ K♠ as de Haas checks and Marcos continues for 205,000. Both of his opponents fold.

Marcos is making a late surge as his stack climbs to surpass the three million mark.

Germ de Haas of the Netherlands opens from the +1 position for 225,000 and gets three callers, including the blinds.

The flop is K♣ Q♠ 3♣ as the blinds check is back to de Haas who continues for 175,000. In the +2 position, Korea’s Kang Seunghyup raises it to 350,000. The SB folds but in the BB, Ye Kejie of China calls. De Haas is finished with the hand. It is now Heads-Up to the turn where the 2♣ appears. Ye goes all-in for his last 910,000. Kang thinks about his decision and burns a timebank in the process. The Korean chooses to fold.

Ye is keeping up with the leaders and stays within striking distance.

From UTG, China’s Ye Kejie opens for 170,000 and it folds to the D where Jannodin Riga of the Philippines 3-bets all-in for his last 265,000. From the SB, Pang Ying of England also goes all-in for 755,000. Ye calls.

Riga flips over 5♣ 5♦ while he looks at Pang turning over K♠ K♦ . Ye has A♦ Q♣ .

The runout goes 7♥ 3♥ 3♦ 9♥ 6♥ as no one has a heart, the Kings of Pang waylay Riga and gets a virtual triple up. Ye’s stack gets dented.

Just a few levels ago, David Lenard Ang of the Philippines was the overall Main Event chip leader. Now he is barely a middling stack and is now all-in against China’s Ye Kejie who he covers by just a bit.

Ye tables K♥ K♦ while Ang shows one over-card with A♣ Q♥ .

The flop all but shuts down Ang’s double up ambitions: 4♦ 7♠ K♠ as Ye’s top set now has the Filipino requiring running cards. It doesn’t happen as the turn card is the 3♠ and the river is the 3♦ as Ang’s stack now plummets to just over one BB.
