The final flight of the Manila Super Series ₱18,500 Main Event has ended here at Okada Manila. Flight D attracted 162 entrants, bringing the total field size across four starting flights to 703. By the end of the night just 25 players remained in Flight D, meaning 107 total players have advanced to Day 2 and are in the money.

Kazuki Hane finished the night with the Flight D chip lead after bagging 446,000. Hane is most closely followed by Ludovic Lehaut (434,000) while Ryuki Shirase rounds out the top three with 398,000.

The fields combine for Day 2 tomorrow at noon and the plan is to play down to a winner. Stay tuned as the Somuchpoker team will be on hand to bring you all the action from the moment cards are in the air until a winner is crowned at the end of the night.

Masahiro Nakamura shoved from under the gun for 124,000 and Jose Colada called with his stack of 101,000 from the hijack, putting himself at risk.

Nakamura’s sevens held up on the Q♦ 5♥ J♥ 3♦ 3♥ runout and he took the pot while Colada was eliminated on the stone bubble.

Darren Yu opened to 30,000 from the button and Ryuki Shirase defended from the big blind.

Both players checked the J♥ Q♥ 5♠ flop leading to the 2♣ turn. Shirase check-called a 35,000 bet from Yu.

Shirase check-called another bet from Yu on the 3♦ river, this time for 100,000. Yu had a missed gutshot with K♥ 9♣ while Shirase had just bottom pair with 6♦ 2♦ to win the pot.

Wen Chen Chien shoved for 12,000 from under the gun, Peter Da raised for 25,000 from early position and Jung Whan Kim re-shoved for 91,000 from the hijack. Da called with a covering stack to put both players at risk.

Kim’s kings stayed in front on the 9♥ 5♣ 7♥ J♥ 9♣ runout and he took the pot while Chien was sent to the rail two spots shy of making the money.

Players area now on the stone bubble with 26 remaining and 25 players advancing to day 2.

Ighani Sohiel shoved for 41,000, Battulga Ganbold re-shoved for 87,000 and Junghyun Wolf an called from the big blind with a covering stack.

The board ran out 6♠ J♥ K♦ T♥ Q♥ giving both Battulga and Ighani a Broadway straight to chop the pot against An’s set of kings.

Patrick Barnay limped in from the button, a player in the small blind limped behind, Junj Javalera shoved for 44,000 from the big blind, Barnay called and the small blind folded.

Both players had a pair of jacks but Barnay had the best kicker to send Javalera to the rail.

In a preflop confrontation Hyunmin Yang was all in for 109,500 from the cutoff and up against Chierro De Leon on the button who covered him.

The 5♥ 3♥ 9♠ K♦ 7♥ runout gave De Leon a set but Yang had the nut-flush to double up.

Abdullah Akbarpoor opened to 16,000 from under the gun, Wen Chen Chien shoved for 36,500 from the cutoff and Akbarpoor called with a covering stack.

The 5♥ 9♥ 3♦ A♥ K♦ runout gave Chien top pair to double through Akbarpoor.

Hochung Song shoved for 85,500 from early position and Peter Da called from the hijack.

Da was good at showdown with his pair of tens to send Song to the rail and take the pot.

With two players seeing a board of 5♣ 2♣ 2♥ K♠ and 27,000 in the middle Minjae Lee checked from the big blind and Masahiro Nakamura bet 15,000 from the button. Lee shoved for 65,000 and Nakamura called with a covering stack.

Lee missed his flush draw on the 4♥ turn and was eliminated while Nakamura took the pot

Benhur Ybarsabal shoved for 20,500 from the hijack, Darren Yu called from the button, Marc Gagne re-shoved for 55,500 from the small blind and Yu called covering both players.

The board ran out A♣ T♣ 5♥ 4♠ Q♦ riving Yu top two pair to send both players to the rail.

Jung Whan Kim opened to 12,000, Junghyun Wolf An three-bet to 39,000 from the big blind. Kim four-bet shoved for 130,000 and An folded.

Masahiro Nakamura opened to 10,000 and Seunghyeon Son shoved for 34,500 from the big blind. Nakamura called with a covering stack.

The A♣ T♠ 2♥ 5♣ 9♠ runout gave both players top pair but Nakamura had the best kicker to send Son to the rail and win the pot.

Ryan Tan opened to 11,000 from early position and Sergei Korzhenko defended from the big blind. The flop came K♣ 4♣ J♥ and Korzhenko checked. Tan bet 8,000, Korzhenko shoved for 24,500 and Tan called with a covering stack.

The T♣ A♦ runout gave Tan two pair to eliminate Kerzhenko.

Yuya Maegawa shoved for 31,500 from the button and Yu Fong Chen called from the big blind with his stack of 22,000.

The board ran out 7♦ 8♥ 6♥ A♦ 3♣ giving Maegawa top pair to double up through Chen.

Peter Da opened to 8,000 from the hijack and Battulga Ganbold called from the big blind. The flop came 4♣ K♠ 2♣ and Ganbold check-called a 5,500 bet from Da.

Both players checked the 4♠ turn leading to the Q♠ river. Ganbold check-called a 17,000 bet from Da.

Da showed two pair with Q♥ J♠ but Ganbold had him beat with K♦ T♦ to win the pot.

Ighani Sohiel shoved for 38,500 from the button and Song Hau Pham called from the big blind with a covering stack.

The board ran out 4♣ 3♦ 7♥ 8♦ 2♠ giving Sohiel a pair of fours to double through Pham.

Hui Sun opened to 6,000 from early position and Roland Don Ferrer called from the hijack. Both players checked the J♥ 9♣ Q♠ flop leading to the 8♠ turn. Sun bet 8,000 and Ferrer called.

Sun continued for 15,000 on the 2♠ river and Ferrer raised to 40,000. Sun called. Ferrer showed K♠ T♠ for a straight and Sun mucked.

Ludovic Lehaut opened for 6,500 from the cutoff and Christian Lortie shoved for 59,000 from the big blind. Lehaut called with a covering stack to put Lortie at risk.

Late registration is over for the last starting flight of the Main Event. Flight D attracted 163 entries bringing the total entries across all starting flights to 703. That field generated a prize pool of ₱11,133,078, eclipsing the ₱10,000,000 guarantee.

25 players will advance from Flight D and make the money, That, along with the 37 players who bagged flight C, will brings the total remaining players to 107 going into Day 2.

Tsubasa Shimoyawa shoved for 51,000 from the hijack and Jonald Garcia called from the small blind with a covering stack.

The A♥ 8♦ Q♣ K♥ 6♦ runout gave Garcia a set of queens to eliminate Shimoyawa.

In a preflop confrontation Tsubasa Shimoyawa was all in for 23,000 from the small blind and up against Ashley Patterson who had a covering stack from the hijack.

The sixes held up on the K♥ 7♥ 9♣ 7♠ 3♥ runout allowing Shimoyawa to double up.

Martin Astorga opened to 4,000 from the cutoff and Nicola Montalbano shoved for 21,000 from the small blind. Astorga called with a covering stack.

The 9♦ J♣ 2♣ 9♣ 2♦ runout gave Montalbano the nut-flush to double up through Astorga.

In a preflop confrontation Jhun Michael Aballa was all in from the hijack for 29,500 and up against Hochung Song who had him covered from under the gun.

The board ran out 3♥ J♥ 8♣ 2♥ Q♦ giving Aballa a set to double up.

William Ysmael opened to 4,000 from under the gun and Yuji Tsuboi defended from the big blind. The flop came K♣ J♣ A♣ and Tsuboi check-called a 3,000 bet from Ysmael.

Tsuboi bet 6,000 on the Q♠ turn and Ysmael called. On the 4♦ river Tsuboi shoved with a covering stack and Ysmael called off with his remaining 47,000.

Tsuboi showed two pair with J♦ 4♥ but Ysmael had flopped the nut-flush with qc 8♣ to win the pot.

Ryan Tan opened to 3,000 from the hijack, Janno Alvarez three-bet to 8,000 from the cutoff, Ryuki Shirase called from the button and Yan called.

The flop came K♣ 7♦ 9♥ and action checked around to Alvarez who bet 5,500, receiving a call from both opponents.

On the 3♦ turn Tan checked, Alvarez moved all in for 14,000, Shirase raised to 35,000, Tan shoved for 53,000 and Shirase called with a covering stack to put both players at risk.

Shirase was drawing dead with top pair, Tan had only one out with a set of sevens and Alvarez was a massive favorite with a set of nines. After the case seven failed to appear on the K♦ river Alvarez tripled up.

Linda Nguyen shoved for 52,000 from the hijack and Sung Do Kwok, who had 50,500, called from the big blind with a covering stack.

Kwok had Nguyen dominated and after the A♦ K♣ 3♠ J♦ K♦ runout he doubled up while Nguyen was left with less than one big blind.

Ashley Patterson opened to 3,500 from early position and Tsun Hin Barry Wong three-bet to 10,000 from the small blind. Patterson called.

The flop came Q♣ Q♦ 9♣ and Wong fired a 6,000 continuation bet that was called by Patterson.

Both players checked the 8♠ turn and 7♥ river. Wong turned over two pair with T♦ T♥ and Patterson mucked.

The last of four starting flights in the Manila Super Series 21 ₱18,500 Main Event kicks off today at 6:00 p.m. local time here at Okada Manila. So far the Main Event has attracted 296 entrants entrants across the first two starting flights, and 45 players have already managed to find a bag and advance to Day 2. Flight C is currently underway at the time of writing, having started earlier today at noon.

Rancy Cyril Lee currently holds the chip lead from the first two starting flights after finishing Flight B with 804,000. Other top stacks from the first two starting flights include JC Mariano (595,000) and Flight A Chip Leader David Erquiaga (433,000).

Unlike the first three starting flights, which had 30 minute levels, Flight D features a turbo structure. Late registration will be open for the first ten levels, which will be 20 minutes. After that all remaining levels will be 15 minutes until just 12% of the field remains, at which point all remaining players will be in the money and advance to Day 2.
