With two players seeing a board of 8♣ 9♣ Q♦ and 47,500 in the middle Hernan Jaybee Villa checked from the cutoff and Nakayama Nobuaki bet 16,000 from the button. Villa check-raised to 45,000 and Nobuaki folded.

John Carlo Sayo shoved for 27,000 from middle position, Li Ming Liu re-shoved for 58,000 from the hijack and Nakayama Nobuaki called from the button with a covering stack to put both players at risk.

Nobuaki was in great shape to score the double knockout but the 3♥ 7♠ J♥ 7♥ 3♠ runout gave Sayo quads to triple up. Nobuaki took the side pot with jacks full of sevens while Liu was sent to the rail.

Nakayama Nobuaki opened to 3,000 from the hijack and Ejiri Akihide defended from the big blind. The flop came Ls 9♦ 8♠ and Akihide check-called a 2,000 bet from Nobuaki.

Akihide checked the Q♣ turn, Nobuaki bet 7,000, Akihide shoved for 26,000 and Nobuaki folded.

In a preflop confrontation Nakayama Nobuaki was all in for 33,300 from the small blind and up against Chirag Shah who had him covered from the cutoff.

The 8♥ 2♣ 2♠ 9♦ A♥ runout gave Nobuaki top pair on the river to double up through Shah.
