Okubo Dominates Flight C of Manila Super Series 21 Main Event
The penultimate flight of the Manila Super Series ₱18,500 Main Event has ended here at Okada Manila. Flight C attracted 245 entrants and by the end of the night just 37 players remained.
Ko Okubo finished the night with the chip lead after bagging 459,000. Okubo took the chip lead late in the night after eliminating Jaehyoon Ahn and never looked back from there. Okubo is most closely followed by Taisuke Nina (437,000) while Sangjae Kim rounds out the top three with 425,000.
Players yet to have advanced to Day 2 still have one more chance as Flight D, featuring a turbo structure, started earlier today at 6:00 p.m. local time.

Flight C of Manila Super Series Main Event Kicks Off at Noon
The Manila Super Series 21 Main Event Continues today with Flight C, starting at noon local time.
Rancy Cyril Lee currently holds the chip lead from the first two starting flights after finishing Flight B with 804,000. Other top stacks from the first two starting flights include JC Mariano (595,000) and Flight A Chip Leader David Erquiaga (433,000).
Flight C features the same structure as yesterday’s Flight B. Players start with 30,000 chips and there are unlimited re-entries permitted during the late registration period which ends at the start of Level 11.
Those who fail to find a bag at the end of Flight C will still have one more chance to take their shot as Flight D, featuring a turbo structure, starts later the same day at 6:00 p.m.
