The first three community cards go 5♠ 6♣ 8♥ to give Ambata an open-ender. The turn is the 7♥ to increase Ambata's out to 13.

The river card, however, is the K♣ as Ambata crashes out in 8th place but also pockets PhP450,000 (~US$8,035).

The flop comes 2♣ K♥ 5♣ as Gopez checks. Ambata CBets to 150,000 and gets called.

The turn is the A♥ and this time both check.

The river is the 3♥ . Gopez fires 500,000 and Ambata folds.

Ambata is now down to just a little over ten BBs after that lay down.

Hand #49: Action is folded to the blinds as Rick Jason Ambata raises to 100,000 in the SB and gets called by Craig Landry.

The turn is the 5♣ and Ambata once again fires, this time to 200,000 and still gets called by the Australian.

The river is the 2♣ as now both check.

Ambata shows K♣ T♦ while a relieved Landry turns over J♣ J♦.

Hand #29: Battle of the blinds as Rishi Mirpuri completes his SB and Jaime Reyes checks his option.

The turn is the 10s . Mirpuri checks and Reyes unloads 75,000. Mirpuri folds.

Hand #30: Ishihara steals the blinds and ante.

Hand #31: Folded to the blinds, Jason Magbanua shoves his SB and gets no call from Ambata.

Hand #32: Once again folded to the blinds, it's Ambata's turn to try and steal Craig Landry's BB by raising to 100,000 from his SB. The Australian 3-bets all-in. Ambata folds.

Hand #33: This time Ambata is successful in his heist attempt by making Ishihara fold with a raise.

Hand #34: It's Ishihara's turn to pilfer, this time raising from the D for 110,000 and William Ysmael gives up his BB.

Hand #23: William Ysmael raises to 80,000 from the +1 position and draws three callers in Maxwell Rosete (LJ), Jason Ambata (SB) and Craig Landry (BB).

The flop comes K♥ 6♠ 8♣ as it is checked back to the raiser who CBets 130,000. Rosete is the only caller.

The turn is the 4♦ . Ysmael and Rosete check.

The river is the Q♥ and Ysmael bets 350,000. Rosete calls.

Ysmael tables Q♠ J♠ while Rosete shows A♣ Q♣ , outkicking Ysmael and taking down the pot.

This is the Final 9 who will be competing for the biggest chunk of the now PhP20,467,485 (~US$365,432) total prize pool.

Each is now guaranteed PhP376,485 (~US$6,722) and will vie for the top prize of PhP3,740,000 (~US$66,775).

William Ysmael makes another bid to increase his stack by raising from the CO to 100,000. However, fellow Filipino Jason Ambata goes all-in from the SB for 695,000. Ysmael calls.

Ambata shows J♣ J♦ while Ysmael has two over card in A♥ Q♣ .

The flop shows an ace but it also reveals a jack: 5♠ J♥ A♣ .

The turn card is the Q♠, to give Ysmael hope for a comebacker and eliminate a dangerous foe.

The river, though, is the 2♥ as Ambata doubles up and Ysmael falls below the two million mark for the first time in awhile.

The action is now concentrated on the final 2 tables as Japan's Yoshifumi Sasaki raises from UTG to 60,000 and gets calls from local pros Edilberto Gopez in the SB and Jason Ambarta in the BB.

The flop comes K♠ J♠ 9♣ as the blinds check to the raiser. Sasaki CBets for 70,000 and gets a call from Gopez. Ambata folds.

It is heads up to the turn of A♦ . This time both players check.

The river is the 2♠ and now Gopez bets 250,000. Sasaki calls,

Gopez shows 8♠ 7♠ for a rivered flush. Sasaki mucks and Gopez is getting closer to the three million chip mark.

In another attempt at a double up, Japan's Masanori Ishihara begins the action by raising from the +1 position to 175,000 as Cheong Yun Rong of Singapore puts in all his chips in a 3-bet shove from the CO for 295,000. Jason Ambata of the Philippines calls the shove as he covers both. Ishihara also calls to make it a three way pot.

Cheong immediately has the advantage when he tables Q♥ Q♠ against the A♦ K♣ of Ambata and the 8♦ 8♣ of Ishihara.

The first three community cards go 2♦ 2♣ 4♣ but the fourth one is the 8♥ which renders both of Ishihara's opponents drawing dead because of his set. The river is the 2♠ to give the Japanese player a full house to boot.

Cheong drops to a mere 40,000.

Korea's Hwang Inho raises from UTG to 4,500 and gets a call from Adrian Yeap from Singapore. Then Filipino Jason Ambata bumps it up to 16,000 from the SB while right beside him in the BB, fellow Filipino Don Carmona announces that he is all-in for 37,500. Hwang and Yeap quickly fold as Ambata snap calls.

Carmona flips over J♥ J♠ while Ambata (who covers his opponent) shows Q♥ Q♣ .

The run goes 4♥ 6♠ T♣ 4♠ A♦ eliminating Carmona from Day 1B.

China's Li Zhiqiang opens the action from the +1 position and is called by Jason Ambata of the Philippines in the +2. From out of nowhere, Japan's Ii Satoshi goes all-in for 93,000.

Li instantly folds, but Ambata sized up Satoshi's chips and after tanking decided to call.

Satoshi turns over 7♦ 7♣ while a relieved Ambata shows 8♣ 8♥ .

The run out goes A♦ K♦ 5♦ (a sweat board for the Filipino) 2♣ A♠ .

Ambata hits the six-figure mark in the elimination of his Japanese opponent.

The first cold deck sighting has Japan's Akihiro Yamada raising from the HJ and getting called by local pro Jason Ambata (D), Jeong Seonghun of Korea (SB) and another Japanese player in Shintaro Ono (BB).

The flop is 7♥ 5♦ 5♠ as all four players check.

The turn is the K♣ . Jeong checks and this time Ono bets 1,200. All but Yamada call.

The river is the 6♣ and this time it's Jeong firing 5,500 as Ono calls. Suddenly, Ambata announces that he is all-in for 22,000. Jeong, who covers the Filipino, snap calls while Ono opts to fold.

Ambata brandishes 7♦ 7♠ for a full house on the flop while a disgruntled Jeong shows 5♣ 6♠ for trips on the flop.

That cooler cost the Korean a huge chunk of his stack and is reduced to about 30 BBs.
