Magnotti flops nuts, crushes LI

Level 19: 5,000 / 10,000 ante: 10,000
Joseph Magnotti

China's Li Xinjing starts the action from UTG by raising to 23,000 which attracts three callers: Yoshifumi Sasaki of Japan (HJ), American Joseph Magnotti (CO) and lady player Sannomiya Tsubaki (BB).

The flop is Q 9 K as Tsubaki, the initial raiser Li and Yoshifumi all check. Magnotti leads out for 30,000. Tsubaki folds but Li and Yoshifumi call.

It is three handed to the turn of the 3 . This time, Li bombs for 65,000 as Yoshifumi steps out f the way. Magnotti goes over the top all-in for 144,000 and gets the call from the Chinese player.

The American flips over J T representing the nuts on the flop while Li is now drawing dead holding Big Slick A K.

The 2 on the river gave Magnotti a huge portion of Li's stack.

Magnotti pilfers over 40K from Inokuchi

Level 9: 600 / 1,200 ante: 1,200
Joseph Magnotti

Raising from the early position, Joseph Magnotti of the United States makes it 2,500 to go but gets 3-bet by Japan's Ryoya Inokuchi to 7,500. In the SB, Wei Amos Yi Zhu flats as does Magnotti to make it three ways to the flop.

The first three community cards show a monochrome A 2 5 as Wei and Magnotti check. Inokuchi leads out for 6,500. Wei folds but Magnotti makes the call.

The turn is the 2. Magnotti checks again and this time Inokuchi blasts 28,000 into the middle. To his surprise, Magnotti still calls.

The river is the 5 and Magnotti over bets the pot and goes all in. Inokuchi takes a while to ponder his decision but ultimately chooses to fold, losing more than 40,000 in the process.
