The inaugural Players Series 2024 Main Event resumes with Day 3 kicking off at 1pm local time at the CTP Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City, Taiwan. Returning today are the final 47 players, each one now guaranteed NTD 68,000. The plan is to play down to the final table of 9 players.

At the top of the leaderboard is Chen Po Jui with a towering 127 bb. Chen has been in great shape since Day 1B where he bagged the chip lead and carried it into Day 2 as the second largest. Also making today's lineup is Liao Bo Lin who topped the Day 1 flights. Liao enters with a decent 33 bb.

The game gets underway with blinds at 6000-12,000 with 20:35 remaining in the clock. Average stack is 477,446 (39 bb) giving players plenty of time to maneuver.

With 47 players remaining, Day 2 has reached its target number. The clock has been paused at 20:35 and will resume tomorrow. At the top of the leaderboard is Po Jui Chen who catapulted after knocking out Yoda Lin to wrap up Day 2.

It was nearly the end for Hsiao Tsui Han who three-bet all in holding 9♥ 9♦ and faced bigger stacked Po Chia Liao who held a better Q♠ Q♥ pocket pair. At the flop T♥ 5♣ Q♣, Hsiao was looking even worse with a set for Liao. However with the turn K♦ and river J♦ , it was a lucky runner runner straight for Hsiao to steal the win and avoid elimination.

Cheng Hao Che opened to 5,500 on the button and Po Chia Liao three-bet to 12,000 from the small blind, which Che shoved all in for around 130,000, sending his opponent into the tank. After over 2 minutes, Liao eventually threw his cards into the muck.

The action was picked up on the turn with a board showing K♦ 3♦ 6♣ K♣ and around 15,000 chips in the middle. Cheng Hao Che from the small blind, Po Chia Liao from the big blind, and Hu Chung I on the button all checked through. The 2♦ fell on the river, and the blinds checked over again. After consideration Hu Chung I tapped at the table and took it to a free showdown. After Che turned over J♣ T♣ for a missed flush draw and Liao flipped 8♣ 6♥ for flopping a six, Hu Chung I tabled K♣ T♠ for turned trips of kings to collect the pot.
