The inaugural Players Series 2024 Main Event resumes with Day 3 kicking off at 1pm local time at the CTP Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City, Taiwan. Returning today are the final 47 players, each one now guaranteed NTD 68,000. The plan is to play down to the final table of 9 players.

At the top of the leaderboard is Chen Po Jui with a towering 127 bb. Chen has been in great shape since Day 1B where he bagged the chip lead and carried it into Day 2 as the second largest. Also making today's lineup is Liao Bo Lin who topped the Day 1 flights. Liao enters with a decent 33 bb.

The game gets underway with blinds at 6000-12,000 with 20:35 remaining in the clock. Average stack is 477,446 (39 bb) giving players plenty of time to maneuver.

With 47 players remaining, Day 2 has reached its target number. The clock has been paused at 20:35 and will resume tomorrow. At the top of the leaderboard is Po Jui Chen who catapulted after knocking out Yoda Lin to wrap up Day 2.

Chu Yi Huang kept the pressure on against the day's entering chip leader Liao Bo Lin. Raising 4000 from utg+2, Liao called from cutoff to head to the flop 8♣ 6♦ Q♥ . Huang continued with another 4000 that was called then checked the turn 8♦ . Liao used this opportunity to attempt a steal with a 13,000 bet only to get pounded with a check-raise of 26,000. Liao called again. On the river 7♦ , Huang fired 40,000, Liao called, Huang flipped over A♥ 8♥ trips and scooped up a sweet pot.

Hu Chung I raised to 2,400 from under the gun and received two callers, Liao Bo Lin on the button and David Erquiaga from the big blind. Three players saw a flop of 4♦ 4♠ J♣ and checked through to see the 4♠ fall on the turn, where Erquiaga and Hu Chung checked the action to Lin, who led out for 3,500, forcing his two opponents to muck the hand.

Liao Bo Lin opened to 1,600 from under the gun only to be jammed by Chen Sin Lan from early position. Wei Chun Liu from the big blind and Lin made the call.

Liu picked up the lead with pocket fours. A flop came 4♦ T♣ 8♣, improving Lan to a pair of tens, but it was still not enough Liu’s sailboats upgraded to a set. The runout rolled off 6♣ 2♦, securing the pot for Liu.

Sin Lan Chen opened from early position to 1,100 and Liao Bo Lin defended from the big blind. Both players saw a flop come 2♥ K♠ 5♠, bringing flush draw possibilities, and Lin checked the action to Chen, who continued with a bet of 2,000. Lin made the call. kiAn 8♠ hit on the turn, where Lin checked to his opponent again, and Chen led out for 2,500 this time, which was enough to make Lin fold.
