Liew Lee Wee got eaten by the blinds in the two previous hands and decided to push all-in from the button for 420,000 with Q♥ J♣. Zhang Tianwei made the call to defend the big blind with K♥ 8♦ . The board ran 9♦ 2♣ 2♠ A♠ A♣ with the King-high of Tianwei doing enough to bust out Liew Lee Wee at 4th place. Liew Lee Wee earns a 4th place payout of KRW 13,930,000 (~USD 10,500), enough for a WSOP main event ticket and a couple of buffets.

At the end of the break with 6 players remaining, William Jia walked back to his seat as the chip leader with a 1,600,000 stack. Jia's stack took its first big hit against Tianwei Zhang when Jia made a big flop bet, but had to give up the pot when he couldn't call the all-in bet by Zhang on a flop of 2♣ 2♦ 5♦. Tianwei Zhang's stack improved to 1,400,000 while Jia's dwindled to 1,000,000.

On another hand that followed, Jia met Biao Ding's all-in for 770,000. Biao Ding flashed A♣ K♥ that dominated the A♥ J♥ of William Jia. The 6♠ T♠ 7♥ T♦ Q♣ board was of no help and Biao Ding bounced back to 1,615,000 chips. William Jia was reduced to a very critical 180,000.

William Jia took a gamble with his remaining 180,000 with J♥ 7♠, and was called by Zhu Jingxuan from the big blind with 8♥ 4♥ . The board of 9♠ 6♠ 5♠ T♦ T♥ didn't do anything for anyone, and a Jack-high for Jia was enough to double him up from drowning with 410,000 chips. Zhu Jingxuan felt a little prick when his stack went to 1,240,000.

At the next level with blinds at 30,000/60,000 ante 60,000, William Jia pushed the 410,000 all-in with Q♦ Q♠ and was met by an equally short-stacked Yu Jiapeng, who felt confident making the call with K♦ 9♣. The queens stayed alive with a board of J♥ 2♠ 7♣ 5♣ 4♥ and Jia double up to 910,000. Yu Jiapeng was left with 70,000.
